appointment obviously was long but we all learn somewhere but I can definitely say that Shirley and Anila were absolutely amazing. Was super impressed with how knowledgeable Shirley was but also the fact of how willing she was to share her knowledge and was so patient.Anila was downright awesome with her knowledge too and I loved that she was able to explain some of the procedures to me, made me feel good that she was asking questions and she was super sweet and understanding. Really really impressed and I’m super happy that I booked an appointment.

I graduated from dental hygiene at CNIH in 2022 and it has set me up for success in my career. All the instructors are there to help and care about your well-being (shout out to Caroline & Zoe leading clinic). The issue about being registered in Alberta really has to do with the College of Registered Dental Hygienists of Alberta and not CNIH but yeah, Alberta does things their own way so do some homework before moving across the country. The program is a condensed and is great for students who are focused and want to get start working sooner than if attending Algonquin College. It’s a hard program but working in a dental office is hard so you’re better to be challenged in school where you can ask for help and learn from mistakes.

Was a patient here for a student this past year. Was a wonderful experience to see the professionalism and workings of this school. I became more knowledgeable about my oral health and got to help a friend! Highly recommend this school as a patient and anyone who wants to study dental hygiene!

As a recent client at CNIH I can say the overall experience was a amazing. With little to no cost this is a great alternative to get a X-rays and professional cleanings from soon to be hygienists. My experience was from COVID-19 where every person in the building followed regulations to the T. The dentists were friendly and everything was super clean.Overall, 10/10 experience

I completed my dental hygiene here in 2021, located in the heart of Ottawa. Shanie in admin is absolutely amazing she is able to help cater to any questions and the educators do their best to help deliver the information across in a manner where you can understand it. Caroline is the best teacher you will ever have.Hands on experience and clean environment. They have a high success rate in graduates! Compressed program as well which allows you to graduate and work faster!

Absolutely amazing, a great place to go to have your teeth cleaned! From the friendly staff and students to the confidence the students show when putting the practice skills to work. And let's not forget... beyond fairly priced.

As a student from Alberta, I was not surprised about the requirements because I've done my research (although fellow Alberta students told me I was wrong on multiple occasions). I communicated with the necessary employees from the Alberta College of Dental Hygiene and was told verbally and via email exactly what was expected of me after graduation.I am thriving in my journey; I’ve overcome so much in such little time at CNIH. This program is a butt-kicker you need to become a refined health professional. If you want to join the field for money, expect a challenge here and learn to expand your mind. I am embracing everything! including stress and conflicts and no I am not “popping happy pills”. Dental Hygiene is meant for me and the only people I should be thanking are the hardworking staff who have to deal with way more every year; they're truly a strong team of warriors, and many have inspired me.

The students do an excellent job! A special thanks to Geena who went out of way to accomodate my schedule so that I could get my teeth cleaned.

Caution Alberta students:This school does have great qualities and instructors BUT...Though this school is CDAC accredited, it's NOT valid for registering/working in Alberta after grad. You will have to work 600+ hours out of alberta or pay thousands to challenge an exam. It's decieftul and dishonest to not tell students this up front who apply from Alberta. Their welcome packet states this school is acceptable for provincial registration in Canada, never mentions Alberta is excluded. There are other colleges that after grad/boards completion you can return home immediately to Alberta. Do your research!I would recommend this school for non-alberta students, as it is a decent program. But Alberta students chose wisely. Your '18 month journey' will likely be 2.5 years before you can return home.

As a senior without dental coverage CNIH was a great option for my husband and I to get updated x-rays, exam from the dentist on duty, and hygiene cleaning for $40.00. The clinic is welcoming and the students are detailed and everything is checked by the instructors who are registered dental hygienists so we felt well taken care of. I would recommend going in as a patient to anyone who needs to save money but still wants to take care of their teeth.
