David did a beautiful job redoing our two fireplaces. His work is masterful and he is a joy to work with. He transformed our home and we couldn't be happier!

David at Tetristone is very knowledgeable and informative. He seems to know his craft quite well. He is very patient in explaining the work done. We are mostly satisfied with his stonework on our patio. The only thing was we are over our original budgeted price by about $3000 as there was unforeseen work that was not factored in initially.

My experience with David was very professional. He was knowledgeable, honest and responsible in his work and in the way he preformed on the job site.I will be using David again for my future custom home projects.

What an experience! I called several masonry contractors and decided to go with David at Tetristone Fine Masonry. We are so happy with our decision to go with David as he was so passionate about his work and I could hear that when I first contacted David.Our old fireplace was just plain and unexciting so we decided to change the look as part of our renovation plans. David came and spoke to my wife and I and he had a vision as to how our fireplace will look like once he is done with it. He walked us through the whole process and was very helpful and professional .We could see the detail in David's work and he was very peculiar as to how each stone is place.It was a pleasure working with David and we already have plans for him to come back and do our 2nd one soon!

I recently design / built a 6400 sqft West Coast Contemporary single family residence in West Vancouver. The aesthetic concept was clean lines and simple volumes while still creating a familiar and 'cozy' spatial experience. Natural materials were used throughout the house such as wood and concrete but the most predominant material I wanted to utilize was stone. I knew it would play a huge role in the overall look and feel of the house so I wanted the best mason I could find at a fair price. Tetristone Fine Masonary was exactly what I was looking for and in the end, exceeded my expectations.Their attention to detail was exceptional. The pattern I requested (dry fit with 40% jumpers while still maintaining horizontal linearity) was probably one of the hardest patterns to build. As you can see from the photos, they pulled it off brilliantly.During construction, Tetristone would constantly update me as to where they were at and what needed to be done in order to keep on schedule; this was greatly appreciated. I found Tetristone to be transparent and trustworthy - traits that are unfortunately scarce in our industry. I will absolutely be using Tetristone on any of my future projects' that require stonework.

Delayed in sharing my review of David at Tetristone as I have been sitting mesmerized by the creatively and craftsmanship of my new fireplace surround. What initially looked to be a simple installation of a new surround material for a fireplace insert replacement, turned into looking for an alternative product, in which David was instrumental in making it happen. As David would say, he brought Whistler to the City. I can't say enough about David's ability to see beyond the boring and bring to life a feature in my home that will be treasured forever.David's knowledge and work ethic is so refreshing in a time of poor customer service. David is a true artist in the every sense. I have had several neighbors drop in to my condo to admire his work, and I am confident that there will be several lining up to to tap his creative energy.Thank you David! Tetristone did an amazing job on my basalt fireplace. Incredible craftsmanship, very professional, beautiful artistry second to none. Would not hesitate to hire them again or recommend David and his team in a heartbeat!

David at Tetristone gave us a fair price for the work, showed up through the fall rain and removed the old siding around the face of the garage, prepared it for new K2Stone natural rock, including supportive angle iron and proper drip edges. The work was very good with nice tight application. Also, he kept the work site organised and neat, allowing access to one side of the garage all the time. We will use him again and recommend Tetristone to anyone wanting a good stone masonry job.

We are SO happy with the work David did and his suggestions to improve on our own thoughts. David is both a craftsman and an artist. He painstakingly selected each stone for each spot. We love the tight joints, textures and colours. The fireplace that we put in is beautiful but David made it spectacular. The stonework is inviting, warm and makes this area the heart of our home. On a practical note, David is reliable, punctual and personable. His quote was fair and accurate. Thank you David!

From the moment we contacted David, we knew that he was a cut above the rest. David is a rare Artist, and what he created for us at our new home is a true reflection of his degree of mastery. He was very open to discussing our vision, and our specifications, and helped us to hone in on what stone choice made sense for the location. He was able to design the fireplace surround and mantel to augment and fit the room perfectly. And although, his fee was higher than the other two Masons we had interviewed, the end result made us feel that we had absolutely made the right choice. We especially love how he fashioned the perfectly aged wooden mantel piece that makes the final piece look as if it has been gracefully sitting in that location for a very long time. It is not an exaggeration to say, that David's beautifully created fireplace surround, is the first piece of art that we have installed in our new home!
