Do not go here. I told this doctor I was anxious and she completely disregarded me and just proceeded without checking in on me.. save yourself from being violated and go somewhere else.

Had my IUD changed today and had a really great experience. All the staff were wonderful and welcoming! The doctor made me feel really comfortable and he was very knowledgeable. Quick and easy process, my appointment was at 9:50 and I was out by 10:15.

I don't know what I would do without the care of the amazing team at Women's Vita. Without them I wouldn't have been able to access medical care in Nanaimo, throughout the entire 6 years I've lived here. They helped guide my medical journey in treating my symptoms of ptsd, something I will forever be grateful for.

Women’s vita medical clinic is amazing. I have been coming to this clinic since it opened its doors on May 2, 2018. Dr Armas has literally changed my life. Best Dr I’ve ever had. I’ve had good doctors before but this women takes health care to a whole new level. Bottom line is she cares about people. And her staff are equally as amazing. I’m blessed to have found them.

Appointments are constantly over an hour late or rescheduled at last minute. Concerns are not listened to whatsoever. Felt totally invalidated, dismissed, and rushed every time. Treatment is also not trauma-informed in the least. I wasted a lot of time being shuffled around with no genuine apologies until I eventually just cancelled all future appointments. Be wary of all the 5 star reviews when profiles only have one review. Will not go back. (Caveat is that the nurse was absolutely wonderful, wish I could have just had appointments with her!)

After my experience today, I feel the need to leave a review!! As a millennial, we don’t usually do these things. For the last 12 years I have suffered from excruciating reproductive pain that has landed me in the hospital. As a result, I have been on birth control since I was 13. Into my early adulthood, the pain has continued to progress although I remain on birth control (I first went on BC to help subside some of the pain). The recommendations have recently changed to getting a PAP smear annually starting at age 25. Previously, they recommended getting paps starting at 18 years of age; meaning I have had a few before age 25. I have always been told I may “just have cysts rupturing”. No patient education received, nor further testing. Today, I went in to see Dr. Ana and for the first time was FINALLY listened to and HEARD. For the first time in these 12 years, I finally received the treatment EVERY woman deserves. Not only does our reproductive system effect our bodies, but it also effects every other system in the body leaving you the potential (high risk) of developing further complications that will shorten your life expectancy.As a nursing student, I pay close attention to how physicians interact with patients during extremely invasive procedures in order to develop rapport and trust. This is something not focused on in school much, but is extremely important to every patient you see. With that being said, Dr. Ana takes the time to explain what is happening and takes every opportunity (that she is ethically responsible to do, but is sadly missed by MANY physicians) to ensure you are fully looked after. With that being said, these things take time. And Dr. Ana takes that time. This means that sometimes you may be waiting a little longer to see her, but please keep in mind this is only because she is taking exceptional care of another woman.

In a city where you are continuously shuffled between online doctors, ER one off not so helpful doctors and little to nil knowledgeable and zero percent compassionate walk in clinic doctors, Dr Ana and her team had been a God send for me. If I am alive today it’s all because of the dynamic, compassionate, timely and heroic efforts by Dr. Ana and every single member of her team. Womens’ vita health is a sanctuary for women in healthcare needs and these Wonder women aka Dr Ana, Kassidy, Kelly and Anni are ready to move mountains for patients in need. My family prays for Dr. Ana and her team of wonder women ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️. Thank you for being there in my life and saving me from death …

Best Doctor I have had in years. She is quick and to the point, but very obviously has a great passion for what she does. She has taken extra time with me and calmed me down when I was showing discomfort. She has made me feel heard and agreed to see me for issues beyond the original IUD removal and reinsertion. She is a wonderful woman and has become my hero.The other staff at the clinic also wear capes, they are always incredibly kind and do their best to squeeze in appointments, administer B12 shots, and distract me with stories when I'm freaking out about needles.Give yourself extra time around appointments, because she is so amazing, she can be high in demand.So grateful for this Doctor and the amazing team around her.

Yes Dr. Anna can run late but i would rather wait then see a DR for 10m and be told to book again because we are out of time, which was the case with my old DR. She takes the time necessary to assess and discuss options and treatment. Some DR's don't take the time to get to the root of the problem. I had given up hope until I saw her, she diagnosed a couple of serious conditions. She has a different approach to medicine and it is refreshing because the way things are going with our system, a DR that actually spends time with the patient is very rare. The entire crew that run the clinic are always friendly and helpful! I am blessed to have them taking care of our family.
