Rented a Hilti jackhammer, worked fantastic - i finished my job in half the time I thought it would take! Very helpful staff, they recommended the TE3000 and I am glad I took it. Good prices, great service, nice to deal with a local small business instead of the big box rental centers

3 stars to the only place in East vancouver/burnaby to rent the ONLY lawn mower and whip... one lawn mower, one whip... in a major north American city... oh but they are both rented...

I never even made it into the store as the guy on the phone was absurdly short and wouldn't listen. He just kept telling me he doesn't understand what I'm try to do!!! I asked for a mitre saw that would cut 5 x 13". Somehow he couldn't relate to that!!! He kept going on and on is that 13" high

Been renting from Able for many years now and can only say great things about them. My first experience many years back was with a Bobcat that got a flat tire while I was levelling a back yard. It was a Saturday afternoon and they arranged for Big O Tire on Edmonds to replace the tire for me. Downtime was limited to a little over an hour which is amazing for a Saturday afternoon. Not sure who's fault the flat was but they didn't even charge me a penny extra. Absolutely the best experience ever. Never been anywhere else since.

These guys are great. I have been looking for someone who can fix my pressure washer which has been idling in my gargage for 8 years and finally found them. Dropped it off on a Saturday, and picked it up the following week. No nonsense. I paid the price they quoted me, and the machine is working like new.

Rented a scissor lift and an airless paint sprayer. The lift was delivered on-time and in good working order, with a fully charged battery. I picked the sprayer up a few days later after the electrician was done with the lift - Able showed me exactly how to use the sprayer, as it was my first time using one.The lift was picked up on time after we were done with it, and all of the billing is correct.Best prices in Burnaby, great equipment, helpful people - thanks!

Over the past few years I've rented a variety of tools including stuff like a lawnmower, jackhammer, compactor, rebar bender, and drywall lift. Quick service, good advice and better prices than the box stores. Always good to support local small business. These folks are my first choice for tool rental.

horrible - here is my experience: Haussman uses these guys to honour their warranty. After taking my table saw in for what I thought is a quick repair - a stripped bolt on the mechanism to lower and lift the blade - it took exactly two months. I was told on the phone they were sent the wrong parts. picked the table saw up today, and not only did it come back rusty, it is missing two pieces from the handle. the mitre doesn't work (stuck at 45 degrees), all the bolts on the underside appear to now be stripped, and to top it off the repair guy said that they never sent the wrong parts...which simply means I was lied to because it was taking so long. I will be speaking to Haussman about standing behind Able Tools, and will hopefully have this resolved soon, as I use this saw for my business, and two months was already a huge hit. How does something come back from a repair shop in worse condition?! Oh they did fix the lowering mechanism though.

I don't rent too often but so far my experience has been positive. Tools I needed were in stock and in working condition, staff was friendly and helpful, and I was in and out quickly during pickup and return. The only issue I'd have is the lack of parking onsite and metered parking on the street. Fortunately, it's not a busy road so that helps.
