Jan was very professional to deal with.He arrived early, did a thorough inspection, discussed his findings with me in detail, emailed his inspection report within the time frame promised, and was easy to reach both by phone and email (impressive in this day and age where customer service is so lacking).I also found Jan's fee very reasonable, especially since he had to drive to my house 1 1/2 hrs. from Chilliwack (3 hour round-trip). I originally contacted Jan after reading his resume (wow!) on the BC Home Inspector's website. Jan is definitely 5-star and I highly recommend him!!

Contacted Jan regarding inspecting our less Jan 1-yr. old home. Since I do not have any problems currently with the house, his advice was to delay the inspection by a few years to let the house settle. He also advised me on how to check any potential problems with our patio concrete. Homescan Inspection is a very honest and professional business, and I recommend it to anyone needing a home inspection.Sarath A.

Jan has inspected two homes for us over the last 13 years. He is very detailed and professional, and takes the time to thoroughly explain any weaknesses in the home, including the risks and approximate cost to repair. He also makes recommendations for best long term value. As he has a good knowledge of building homes, the local building code, and the area, he can also offer pragmatic advice: do the issues really matter? This is in comparison with out-of-town inspectors who will condemn" a house that doesn't meet more stringent Vancouver building codes
