absolutely beautiful campground!!! extremely helpful nice little area with a playground, mini golf, bbq area, pool and a perfect little general store with everything in it! were just travelling through and was able to call for a site a hour before i got here and it was fine! i wish we stayed longer and all of this for such a good price 10/10 awesome campground.

Pretty nice campground. It's a little more expensive than some others but it has a pretty good (if somewhat cold) pool, some well shaded sites and it's quiet. The play area for kids is quite nice as well. Firewood is $8 for a load that is a little bigger than armload and they don't want you bringing in your own.Last time we were there, the water pressure was poor, and the people in 3 other sites in the immediate area said theirs was poor as well. This was not our first time camping at Aspen Grove, but it was the first time we had water pressure problems, so I don't know if it's a consistent problem. Cell service in the area is poor and you have to pay for wifi. The people we were camping with had paid for 48 hours of wifi. Their connection was slow, very intermittent, and they were no longer able to connect after 24 hours. The poor cell service seems to be mostly for people with Bell-MTS as a mobile provider.

I rented a camper with my family and had a very pleasant stay. The campground was nice and well kept and the camper itself was clean and pretty comfortable although the pull out sofa did put my back to the test over two nights. There are some amenities on site like a nice pool area, a playground, mini golf and a basketball court. There are also some hiking trails which I didn't use, and there are beaches not too far away as well. Service was always courteous and friendly. Some have mentioned spotty cell phone coverage and that was my experience for sure even using the generally strong Rogers network. I could get calls but data was minimal at best. The good news is that you have pretty good access when you go the short distance to get back on the Trans Canada Highway so you can check e-mail, weather, etc. fairly easily. I didn't use the paid wifi service so I can't speak to that. All things considered it was a nice time and I'd come back for sure.

We were 'one-nighters' last year on our way along the TransCanada and stayed here again in 2023 for several nights. (The area of Routledge and Lauder have nice Sandhill hikes. Oak lake has good birding, canoeing. Virden, good museums, historic sites.) The camp hosts were nice to us. The campground store has lots of goodies. Most of the sites are nicely treed/shady. The camp is set up well for RVers... we were happy for the clean washrooms and showers near the store/laundry/pool/. We had decent cell service. Sometimes cell reception isn't that great inside camper.

Lovely little campground hidden way back from the highway between Virden and Oak Lake,MB. Sites are separated by groves of aspen... hence the descriptive name. There is a pool and fun places for kids to okay. There is mini-golf. Not far from Oak Lake Provincal Park and other ipocturesque places. They were also EV friendly. When our site only had one outlet, they allowed me to move my car to charge on an empty site for a very small and extremely reasonable fee. However they only offer up to 30 amp service. We enjoyed our stay here!

Take note: the actual Aspen Grove Campground is 1.1 kms away from the highway.A very good camping place complete with water, wifi and electricity per camp site. Pool, a convenience store (in case you forgot to bring something) and some outdoor activities are just some of the attractions of this campground.Trees, a park bench w/ table and a firepit are available for your convenience.Perfect for first time campers like me that's why I gave it a 5 star.

The park was easy to find. It is located off of highway one near Oak Lake The entrance and parameter roads are hard packed dirt. I strongly suspect they would be slippery when wet. I don’t think the park would be a pleasant place during a rain storm. Signage is adequate. Check in was efficient and friendly. The rules are fairly basic. Our site, 103, was a pull through that was plenty long enough for our Coach and Towed. Services (30 amp, water and sewer) were to the left side. Distancing is close for a rural park. Most sites had a vegetation barrier. Each site has a table and most have a fire pit. Our site was flat and even. Overall the park was well manicured. The included fifteen minutes of wifi worked well with no log in password. If you wanted more than the “free” fifteen minutes, one had to buy time at the office. We did not purchase any as we have our own service. We did not find any OTA TV. Satellite might be difficult because of the trees if you don’t have a portable dish. We did not use the washrooms or showers but we checked and found them clean. There is a pool, mini golf, volley ball and other activities to entertain campers, There is a very small store on site as well as a clean laundromat on site.We found this park to be a well run rural RV park. We paid $43.50 per night and we feel we received good value. We will be back if in the area again.

If you're looking for a campspot in western Manitoba, just off the Trans Canada, check out this campground. Super friendly family campground. Really great staff, great pool and awesome firewood that is delivered to you. And did I mention the cost is super reasonable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Its a very nice campground. They have very helpful and polite staff. There's a variety of campsites avaliable. Depending on which site you get they can be a good size as well. Plus some are surrounded by trees and shrubs. Which not only gives a bit of privacy but also nice shade on a bright sunny day. I found it also helped keep the camper cooler. There's lots for kids to do. The pool is nice. Mini golf checkers and horse shoe available. There store offers a good variety of items and snacks. My favorite for an ice cream treat was the cherry cheesecake. Followed by a turtle cheesecake dish and then the home made cinnamon bun. Very delicious.Thee only negative" I may have to say is at our campsite the sewer drain was at an odd angle. Therefore I couldn't use my Y fitting for my two sewer drains. So I had to use one hose for my gally and the back drain. Not the end of the world. But when I had to drain the gally I had to crawl under the slide out to lift the hose to direct the water towards the sewer drain. Not the easiest thing to do. Plus the elbow popped off a couple times during the process. Thankfully it's just the grey tank not the black. So it was just dish water on the ground. Again it's petty but still a negative. Otherwise its a good campsite. We really enjoyed our four day stay. And will definitely be going back."
