It makes me so sad to see that so many people have had such negative and unhelpful experiences with this help line. I called and got an automated message saying all the lines were full. I hung up and cried in frustration reading the reviews and not knowing what to do. I called back and right away got to speak with Laura. She was very sweet and sounded genuinely concerned about my well being and was sympathetic. I found speaking to her very helpful and she has a soothing voice. This experience put me in a whole other mindset than where I was when I had initially called and I really hope other people get help from this and don’t only have negative experiences. I am very thankful for Laura tonight.

Every time I call they are so sweet and patient. They have been able to help me through emotional crisis more times than I can count. They may not be able to solve all my problems but they help give me other perspectives to think about and always stay on the line with me until I feel better.

Thats right everyone. They don't care. You feel rushed! And to the person who said they worked they worked there for 12 years they laugh and make fun of us ?? Thats why society has crumbled!

I can't imagine many people comment or review a crisis line due to privacy, luckily I'm not shy! It takes a lot of courage to ask for help and a huge amount of bravery to seek it.Klinic has grown into a big organization with many programs, all of which seem to be quite helpful though the wait times are long. An indication the government needs to help out and get more funding for this essential service.I have called the Crisis line before and the counsellors are amazing. They listen, they empathize, they help and by the time you are done, you feel better. If you need further help they will work with you to make sure you know what your next steps are.I like on their website they mention the line isn't JUST for someone IN CRISIS. Too many people suffer thinking their issue isn't 'big enough' or 'important enough' to warrant a call - not true! If you are having some big emotions, problems concentrating, it's best to deal with it and talk it out so it doesn't get bigger and then out of control for you.A family member who is opposed to talking to strangers on a one-time option finally agreed to try them in between their therapy sessions as a bridge when some big emotions arose. She was very happy and felt safe and comfortable. The counsellor helped and it was just what was needed so said family member could make it through the week into the regular therapy session. For myself, I have had some big emotions and challenges to the point it's hard to concentrate or get motivated. At first I think Well why bother calling

I've called here a few times and maybe just talking out loud to someone can help some people with some situations but most of the time it just feels like you've wasted 25+ minutes and you end up feeling a little emptier because it felt like something that is there to help people didn't help you. If there were other places to call, I would.

its a good place to get the trauma out of my head and talk it out with someone. i usually feel better after telling someone what i am going through and how i feel. it helps ground me back into a place where i feel a bit more control.

I worked for them and have called many times. They really don't like helping people all that much. I spent 12 years working for these people. They fired me after blackmailing me at the crisis unit. They make fun of the clients all the time and do that well. I really don't have much to say other than their hypocrites and abusers. kind of funny that the clients came from abusive pasts. thats the wrha not klinic. maybe klinic does it too. don't know.
