Québec School of Music

I found the communication of this school very bad. I wanted my 5 years old to receive clases so I paid for one month $129 for 30 mins class once a week. Also they charged $40 one time fee.By the end of the third class I was told that For the second month the teacher was going to be absent, they thought for the whole month, and they didn't know if he was going to be replaced. Just like that. We were never told about replacement classes, or any other communication. Then they sent an email when two classes already passed asking to pay for the invoice of the second month and I told them how come? Then they said that classes were going on and that the teacher was going to be absent only one day and all students were informed about the replacement class which they had already taken. Except us!The day I was told the teacher was going to be absent without a backup plan I went home with a bad test thinking that for the whole month my son wouldn't have classes, so i wasn't even expecting them to call. But the thing is classes were going on and they were expecting us to pay for the invoice by default.For the third month they told me they didn't have his place because we didn't pay the invoice for the last month! Good to mention we didn't receive any class either. They just offered spots during the week that my son wasn't able to attend.The communication is horrible and looks like is written just to invoice you. For the rest it is just verbal and not to everyone.I ended by paying $169 for a month for my son to get 4 clases of even less than 30min a week. Now I will have to find another place where most probably I will have to pay for another one time fee + the classes.I wouldn't recommend this place. What a bad taste.

My kids have been taking lessons at this school for the better part of seven years (violin and piano), and we are very happy with the quality of the instruction. The teachers truly care about the children's enthusiasm as well as their progress. Communication is easy, and interaction with all staff members I have known over the years has been very professional. Elena is an amazing piano teacher, gentle yet disciplined, and Julia has inspired my daughter to truly love playing the violin. Since the school is quite far from where we live, years ago we tried switching to a teacher who was closer to us in downtown Montreal. My kids' interest and progress faltered, so we returned and have never looked back.

I have been taking lessons for over a year now at the school and Julia and her staff have been amazing. Very attentive to our needs, very professionnel and extremely knowledgeable in regards to reading and playing music. Thank you for making a good violinist out of me!

I have been attending this school for over 7 years and I have had amazing teachers. The staff was always accomodating with me. I would only trust this school for my music education. As per the pricing policy, it was clearly communicated to me and makes total sense. I loved my teachers over the years, best school.

if I think about a music school where I would like to subscribe my son, I choose this school right away. It offers high quality and professional courses, it is the ideal school where you can really learn music. The kids learns while having fun and experimenting, the staff is qualified and very kind.Teachers are treated professionally and is the ideal workplace. The school offers spaces and classrooms equipped with everything necessary. if you need something, they are always ready to help you. What anything else? I'm really grateful to this school that it's giving me the chance to grow as a teacher and as a person. Thank you !

My two girls have been taking piano lessons with a teacher for some years, and when COVID happened, our teacher has decided not to teach anymore. My kids were very sad, and we were looking for a good school to continue. EQM is very far from us, so we decided to take online classes here. We were paired with an excellent teacher whom my kids had an instant connection to. I was skeptical about the efficiency of online music lessons, but happy to say that they are the next best thing! Thank you so much for allowing me to hear my girls play and enjoy piano again!

This school is just amazing. My daughter goes and takes violin classes every weekend. The teacher is very patient and very knowledgeable. Highly recommended. Thanks to all the team for helping a mom who's daughter finally found something that she likes.

Feel sick with their sales skills when I got forced to purchase their textbook.When I went to pick up my son today, I was told that the teacher started using a new book without asking any of the parents. she wrote my son’s name and put stickers on many pages. My son has only finished half of his last book.We were going to switch to a RCM program, not only we are now stuck with another book, and also we were forced to pay for the book, not to mention the book is almost $6 more expensive than retail. They whited out the printed retail price and put sticker on top of it.As a school, a teacher, an adult, they are setting a really bad example to the kids. Do not recommend.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------Update: September 10thSuriya, please stop lying! we actually liked the first teacher, we changed our class from 30 mins to 1 hour. i already told you the reason we switched the teacher, which was my son had registered a karate class, his fingers are stiff after an intensive karate lesson. and we only changed ONCE, NOT SEVERAL TEACHERS!!!!!! i DID NOT ask for good spot"!!! i took what was available.how you purchased the books

A great music school. They have a lot of teachers and very good hours, even for people who are very busy. My violin teacher is phenomenal and very talented! I have learned a lot and she is very patient with me. The secretary is also very friendly and helpful. She always greets me with a smile and helps to makes it a nice place to learn.
