The Great Outdoors Landscaping

We hired Great Outdoors to landscape our new home and build our back patio and firepit area, and they did an amazing job. Corey had tons of great ideas for our yard and worked closely with us to create a design that would meet our needs and budget. Unlike many other landscapers, they provided a detailed quote with a comprehensive cost breakdown, so we knew exactly what we were paying for. The crew that worked on our home was professional, easy to communicate with, and did great work. Overall, Corey and his team are dedicated to providing an excellent customer experience. I will definitely use their services again in the future. Highly recommended.

We met Great Doors Landscaping company at the Edmontonhome show in 2022 and 2023, and we thought they must be a reliable landscaper with a good reputation and honest.Don't buy into the owners upsell and how great they are and all they can deliver. We paid for one of their design packages (approx $850) and yes, the owner came to our house and made some suggestions and a few weeks later presented us his 3D design model and some initial pricing, via zoom meeting, but after that he ghosted us. Firstly, the pricing was was too highHe told us that would provide us with a final proposal with pricing and detailed breakdown of services and pricing and we could decide what we wanted him to do and what we wanted to ourselves to save money. I told him that I thought his pricing was high so i wanted to compare with other landscaper pricing.We waited weeks for the final pricing and the design package. I left telephone messages, text messages and messages on their website but haven't heard back from him. I think their game his take the design package money and run.

Corey did a design for our yard which we absolutely loved! He pieced out the project by price which was helpful to us as we didn't want to do it all in one year. The guys came out on the hottest week of the year and worked until the late hours of the evening to get the job done! Fantastic crew and fantastic work. I really recommend Corey and his guys! Derek

What can I say, besides that the work atmosphere is so great, my coworkers are absolutely the best and well trained, just fantastic management from the top right down to the core, they take pride in there work and it definitely shows.

The owner of this business is very passionate about landscaping and was always on time for our meetings! He got me so excited about what my yard could look like and I could not be more happy with the project start to finish. The design was beautiful and I really appreciated being able to see what my yard could look like in a 3D model! The price was very reasonable and the crew was excellent to deal with. Would highly recommend!

I wouldn't recommend the Great Outdoors Landscaping. We went to their booth at a home show and they sold us on design for our landscaping by saying they would be able to provide us with renders of our yard. They key sale item that we liked was also they would be able to recommend the best plants for our yard make up and lighting profile. For a design pitch it sounded great, execution was extremely lacking.They came and checked out our house and initial visit was really promising. From there though the execution extremely lacked and we had to follow up multiple times to get an update on where they were at. Then when it came to design review they didn't provide or take any of our conversation into account for the initial rendering based on the visit. The entire review with them was a constant upselling meeting for them to try and get the landscaping work which was pretty annoying to be honest. After we made it known that they weren't going to get any future work for this job we had to continually follow up again and again to get the 2nd rendering after our notes, the plant list came after and they weren't planning to provide us at all. Gave a very generic list of plants that weren't even offered in Edmonton and had to find our own replacements with the help of a nursery (Sunstar Nursery luckily came in and helped us find replacements, they provided better recommendations for our climate and lighting and it was completely free).Overall very frustrating process with them and wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Josh and his team were excellent to deal with! Awesome crew, excellent service. Felt just like dealing with family! Couldn’t recommend highly enough! Seriously give them a call for anything you need. They will work with you and find a solution for any project! Awesome job guys!

I was so excited to see what he could do and loved the design he came up with, all that was needed and promised by him was the pricing breakdown so we could see what we would modify to fit our budget. we have left dozens of messages, emails, unanswered calls and no response at all. very unprofessional. I have spent way to much time crying over this. we have to finish our landscaping this summer and he has made our life hell. very disappointing and we have shared this with friends and family to also spread the word. we would go to legal but the money we already had to pay would not be worth it. very sad.
