Working in the health and sustainability field gave me a chance to hear tons of experiences of Jen's work. As a fan of functional medicine I feel so grateful that we have her and mortar and pesto in Red Deer. I have taken classes that were put on by a local school that was food based & it just goes to show that her intentions are not all $. She cares about true health and the community! It is hard to come by a business that is integrative with pharmaceutical and natural health. A true gem for people who want quality products and to support local!

Every time I phoned and left a message the owner never called back. When I did speak to her finally found her short and very rude. Terrible business practices and would never recommend anyone to go there for services. I had gone in and left products for encapsulating, they never called me back and or did anything with them. Terrible customer service and don't understand how they are still in business.

Jenn is very knowledgeable but we're forced to question her morals and values when she will refuse to help clients if they do not use her pharmacy. The pharmacy itself is very disorganized.

I absolutely adore this little green pharmacy. Jenn and her staff have shown time and time again their commitment to our overall health, they aren’t just there to fill a prescription they are there because they care! I love the variety of natural product available. The value of community is shown with supporting other local small businesses within the store! Always leave there with a smile!

By far the best pharmacy I've used anywhere in the world. Professional, friendly, full of knowledge and frequently deliver my prescriptions when I'm busy.Jen knows just about all there is to know about supplements. They caught a mistake by my doctor which could have caused severe side effects, which other pharmacies didn't catch. Highly, highly recommend.

Such knowledgeable, caring and thoughtful staff at Mortar and Pesto.Jennifer has been such a knowledgeable guiding light in my healing, wellness & vitality!Since my first consultation Jan 2022, I have gone off a Statin (that was making me very unwell). I have not had a UTI in 5 months (which is a huge WIN!). Lost 12 pounds and gained so much vitality and wellness!Thank you, thank you, thank you Jenn! Your knowledge and advice is worth its weight in Gold!

Jen Fookes, showed complete care & compassion with my knowledge or lack of knowledge? With my prescriptions & bloodwork.Jen has a huge well of knowledge of and if she does not know? She told me once “I’m a life long learner and it excites me to learn more about something you may be going through and I can research & find best solutions & care for your specific needs”This really impressed me by far, compared to other big pharmacies where “there you go! If you have any questions? read the printout that’s I put in the bag for you, next” Jen and her team really care about best practices for my health & multiple others I’ve seen before me.The team is a team and I support Jen’s team! Their great people and given the time? They’ll definitely hear your concerns. 100% supper Jen, Carmen, Darren, Cherri and the rest of her team.
