Chartwell Georgian Retirement Residence

When, perhaps, it's time for your loved one to move to a retirement residence, whether for their safety, health or other reasons, the Chartwell Georgian is a wonderful option. The staff are very friendly and informative. We have a large family, some of whom visit the Georgian almost every day, so lots of questions over the last two years. The staff always tries their best to help whether it's about meds, diet, activities,etc. And their are lots of activities such as baking, concerts, knitting club, rides in the van to get ice cream, gentle exercises, tea in the lounge. Of course residents can relax in the privacy of their own room at any time. Call Katarina if you'd like to book a tour. I think you will be pleased you did. .

Thank you to the Managers and Staff for their care and kindness towards our Mom. Mom lived at the Georgian for 7 years and enjoyed many activities and conversations with staff and residents. She misses you all.

I just attended the first family day luncheon with my Mom who is a resident. We started our meal with Mimosas which was an unexpected pleasure. From soup (chicken rice) to entree (Mac & cheese to dessert my moms favorite flavour: maple walnut - (probably just a coincidence lol) everything was tasty. The staff were all very cheerful and attentive and always speak to my Mom using her name. Not to mention knowing my name too. Whenever someone would come to our table my Mom would always comment how nice the staff always were. I think she likes them so much she always wants them to sit with her. Thanks to all the staff for a successful first annual family day luncheon.

Had my 84 yr old father stay for two weeks while mom went on vacation. It was perfect, dad was fine, never missed a meal, joined in on the ice cream social and met 3 new friends at meals. His room was cozy and he wanted for nothing.

After our mom passed away, our father required additional care and we chose the Georgian retirement home. From the onset, the staff (too many amazing people to mention individually) became a second family to all of us. As a smaller scale retirement home, the atmosphere is friendly and professional and our needs were always met. It's great when everyone knows your name and who your loved one is, which creates such a personal touch. Unfortunately, our father had to transition to LTC which is such an overwhelming journey in of iteself. I can't thank manager Barbara and Heath and Wellness Manager April for their on-going support and love for our father and especially through this last journey.

As an entertainer, my experience at this residence has always been excellent. The staff is friendly and helpful to me and to the residents. . The facility is very clean and welcoming both inside and out, It has the charm and comfort of a smaller home with the sophistication of a larger facility. I would highly recommend this home for you or your families retirement needs.

Our family thought the Georgian was beautiful on the outside but also beautiful on the inside. My mother felt welcome there. The staff listened, there were lots of activities, decent meals and a very welcoming Great Room - where a lot of fun and entertainment took place, plus much more. We also liked that it wasn't too large, just a cozy size.

We've been playing music at the Georgian for a number of years and it has also been a warm, welcoming, fun place to be. We enjoy going back every time and everyone there is extremely kind and gracious during our visits.

Lovely residence and warm, caring staff. Very nice rooms including common areas, and good food.
