Avis Car Rental
I just rented a car for a short day trip.Pros:- The office is conveniently located inside Le Nouvel Hotel.- The receptionist was cordiale and pleasant to talk to.- Your car will be waiting for you in the basement (P3), nice and shiny.Cons:- Getting in and out of the basement parking lot could be a bit of a challenge if you don't drive often and rent a big car.Overall, a good location, good car and good service.

Well kept and clean car. Very nice and friendly service at the desk. We got upgraded from a compact car to a nicer SUV( Grand Cherokee) for the same price, that was the highlight of our day! We appreciated the surprise and the friendliness of the woman at the desk who took care of us (Thank you - Sorry we didn't get your name. It was saturday morning, nov 24th). Compared to other Avis offices, there was no wait and everything was smooth and quick.

Rented a car for the long weekend with my puppy. Even after I cleaned and vacuumed the car they still called us saying there’s dog hair and wanted to charge 480$ for a car wash! I offered to wash the car myself and they said they can’t give me the key just like that and they requested me to rent the car and then wash the car myself. A full deep cleaning was only 80$ and I never had any problems of dog hair with other car rental service!!And 480$ for a car wash?!!! That’s completely scamming!! Never again with Avis!

This is hands down the best place to rent a car in Montreal. I rented cars in the city for 2 years and unless you go to the airport, it is a painfull and unpleasent process. That was until I discovered this Avis location. I have rented many times here and since the first one, I have been treated like a VIP. DO NOT RENT ANYWHERE ELSE IN MONTREAL! This is the place.

Rented a car here and it went pretty smoothly. Car wasn't 'clean' butt not as bad as others have shown. The cars are on P3 floor and it's not too tight, but the lots were mostly empty. If they were full it would be... less fun. Service was decent. Please add a proper drop off box for keys if returning a car when no one's there.

First time I rented from there all was smooth. Second time, they gave me a dirty car. After I complained they gave me another one which was even more dirty (picture). The lady went in the parking to clean herself but still not good enough (pieces of food on the seats, no vacuuming) so I requested a refund and lady said it’s not possible. Will most probably not rent from there again.

I have been a loyal customer since 2020 and I have always chosen Avis for its service. But now I am so disappointed at Avis service at this location !1. When we made the reservation, we applied the coupon code we got from our Costco booklet, the day we picked the car, the lady told us we can’t use that code and she went straight to reject our old code and applied a 10% off Costco code since we are Costco member. We asked her to show us official documents why we can’t use that code and she could not provide; in the end we said fine, since I am X company employee and our company offers 30% off code we can use that. The lady refused our request again? I don’t understand the lady did not ask our permission to apply a 10% off code and she refused us to use our own code that we are doing qualified. When we asked her why, she could not provide a valid reason. As a customer I do have the legal right to apply the code that my company offers and the discount code was because my company has agreements with Avis and why you as a customer service rejected my right to use that?2. She asked us to go away several times, we did stay there in the office ask why and argue and several times she said “ I have lots of customer to take care of and I don’t have time to help you. This is funny, there were only us in the office and we are also the CUSTOMER that you need to take care of. What do you mean? You send customers away without solving their issues?3. She refused to provide her supervisor’s information. We were very disappointed by her rude and unreasonable service and we said: we need to talk to your supervisor. She replied: I don’t have a supervisor I am the only one work here but she was on the phone to talk someone regarding our case . So the lady can be rude to customer and there is no way for customer  to complain ?

Never again with these guys or Avis!!! I wish can give this place a MINUS 5 stars!!!! Dirty crusted car with melted chocolate peanuts in the cup holder. Wipers were a safety issue since they were months overdue. Had to drive 3Hrs + in the rain with hardly any visibility. One side was scratched from front door to back, not mentioned on the inspection that was done without me. Called the place and spoke to Nelly who said I should be happy they upgraded me from a full size to an SUV and nevermind the issues. That's quite the upgrade!!! That's why i rented a full size to start with, I didn't need to upgrade to your dirty death mobile.Spoke to Avis H/O and got a 2+ weeks runaround until they credited a portion of what they promised, which was a day's rental. By FAR the worst experience I've ever had in the 25+ years I have been renting cars. STAY FAR AWAY!!!!

I rented a mini van almost 3 weeks in advance for an important trip, ensured that I had all the documents required as per the Avis Car Rental policy, but on the day of the rental the manager refused to rent it out to me. She made up laws that were no where to be found in the policies by avis car rental.A sham of a rental branch and a huge waste of time and money having to find other means of travel at the last second.

Staff were excellent about renting the car and having everything put through, though the refund process back to my credit card was quite slow and made plans later in my trip quite difficult. The car was also larger than I had hoped as they upped my category for the same price (I drive a smaller vehicle day-to-day) and the vehicle both dirty and was showing signs of internal steering system damage making me hesitant to drive it any more than necessary.
