Been almost 2 years since I made a complaint about a Doctor, and not much of anything done. Keep being told, the are more complaints against that Doctor and just have to wait. CPSM seem to be there to protect their members more than patients

They provide a valuable service.

I was going to post the exact same thing as Tim did. He hit right on. want a prime example go read the report on the pathetic sham to save a doctor who was in Northern manitoba that attacked another doctor..Its in the bad boy section were complaints are listed i think..The docs name was Mahdi..read the report. If that were u or me we be in jail or deported..pathetic..

I gave the college information on a time-sensitive patient safety issue over 3 months ago. They got back to me several WEEKS later with a non-answer. I followed up with them about the same issue again nearly a month ago, and I am still waiting on a response. What service is it again that they're supposed to be providing the public?

My grandma had a complaint here about her doctor and to say that they didn't take her complaint seriously would be an understatement. Very dismissive and she is still ticked off about it 6 years later, which I can see why. Maybe they should learn to hold their doctors accountable? That would be a good idea

Wish I could put a zero rating. I called because I found a new doctor not that I was happy that I needed one as I had a terrific NP that had to close her practice. I have a rare Neurological condition and this new doctor refused to prescribe me my medication and also I mentioned that the clinic had a 10 minute policy for appointments. The woman who spoke down to me said they have every right. ( how dare one be sick with more than one condition and how naieve of me to think that that is what one goes into medicine for!) Healthcare in Canada and especially in Manitoba is only for the healthy, god forbid should you be sick, and lord help you if you are no one cares anymore it's all about getting you in and out as fast as they can as the more patients they see the more money they make in a day.

This organization solely exists to protect members of their own profession and not patients whose lives are affected by detrimental health decisions, unethical behavior, improper billings and others by their health practitioners.Only authority which doesn't post upcoming hearings and cases older than 10 years.They are also hiding the fact that MB continues to recruit low quality doctors from overseas which is resulting in poor quality healthcare and outcomes for Manitoba taxpayers just so they can have enough doctors. These doctors are using MB as an entry way to Canada.What a joke.

Wow. I am really feeling defeated. I'm guessing tgat I'm going to need a lawyer to watch everything that these people do too. This is not getting any better. I can't afford a Lawyer. I did'nt think that Manitoba was set up to operate so deeply in opposition to Canadian Law when this all started. I am really sick over this. Everytime I see a way out, I find its fixed to work on a level that is no more than window dressing.Here's one more review to add to the pile.I think I will likely be dying in publiccat my own hand with a whole lot of backstory before I get to leave this place.I understand the feeling of release that is described by those contemplating it.I'm not even sad. Its just a fact, Manitoba as an entity operates outside of Canadian Law, I only participated, trusted its employee's because I took for granted that they could be trusted. They can't be trusted. None of them.Not a doctor, a civil servant, or a regulator like this 'College'. You people should be ashamed of yourselves.

Very nice building and a really knowledgable group of committed committee members. It is good to know that a group like this is watching over patient care in this province.
