This is my FAVORITE place to visit on the island. When I was there last week, Maxim Grunin was painting a mural on a greenhouse and selling his original art. The plants are healthy and displayed beautifully. Staff are always helpful and friendly. Treat yourself to a QUALITY experience.

We went for breakfast here and my son and I were blown away. From the delicious food, beautiful immaculate space, efficient friendly service and how inexpensive it was! The fresh homemade rye bread and jam was to die for and we bought some in their store to bring home. There was beautiful gardens and two lovely, polite, quiet dogs wandering the grounds which made the place feel like home. We chose to sit in the large white marquis where there was a nice breeze and we could hear the lovely sounds of nature around us. There was also an area out front under tall trees to sit which looked beautiful. The food was perfectly seasoned and absolutely can not think of one criticism. First time visiting the island and we will be back to JD's for certain.

Visiting this garden and eating our breakfast there in our way back from first time camping in Tehkummah was a marvelous experience. We felt like we don't want to leave, they cook amazing breakfast and the prices are so perfect and actually should be higher.Won't hesitate to recommend this place to everyone and hope to get the chance to go there again!Thank you for your hospitality!

My husband and I recently called JD's to see if we could get a gift certificate for two sisters who live on Manitoulin Island . The lady we spoke with was very accommodating and excited to carry out our request. Today we received a picture of our sisters holding the gift certificate and enjoying lunch. Their smiles were PRICELESS. We thank JD's for their thoughtfulness andmaking this a special day for them.

This is not your average garden centre! The plants were beautiful and the staff was over the top helpful and knowledgeable… but there is more. The attached restaurant and market area is full of quality and attention to detail. The added extra charm from my perspective are the two over sized dogs that wonder in and around the business. They are sweet, unobtrusive and full of personality. Thanks to the new owner for such a lovely experience.

Amazing environment and great food. I will definitely be back!Loved it was snowing outside and sitting in the warm green house enjoying a fresh all farm grown breakfast.
