Skwachàys Lodge Indigenous Hotel and Gallery

There were homeless people using drugs nearby...we were cautious.We were ok with the location because we walk everywhere. Steamclock nearby. Port nearby. Great restaurants. Chinatown...a bit disappointing. Skwachays hotel was fabulous. Breakfast great with fresh baked goods and homemade yogurts.

Good hotel. The location is good. We didn't have any problem. It is close to the Gastown and you can find many places to eat nearby.

Central location.with walking distance to Gastown and. downtown. Unfortunately really rough area with lots of homeless people just outside the hotel. But the hotel itself was good and felt safe. Especially thanks to Rick who gave us great advices and was so kind during our stay.

One of my favorite places to stay in Vancouver by a mile. Super location, REALLY friendly staff, always clean, and a great way to see some amazing art at the same time. Highly recommend this spot, especially if you're looking to stay somewhere fresh.

Located in Chinatown where there is a growing homeless population with open stuff use. The hotel feels safe, secured and comfortable. The location gives access to plenty of great spots to eat. Great breakfast, and each room decorated wonderfully.

An amazing hotel. All the rooms have themes. Very cultural. Also houses homeless indigenous artists. The service was absolutely amazing. Can not recommend this hotel enough. Front desk man was wonderful. So kind with a great sense of humor. Our room was spectacular. Will always be staying here when we come to Vancouver.Everything was awesome

This was a unique hotel experience! The location is fairly sketchy but thankfully the underground parking garage is secure. Parking for two nights did cost $78 so that was extremely expensive….The location is nice and close walking distance tho to lots of stuff which is nice!!The elevator is slow, just an observation. The room was cool! We stayed in a double bed room. It has stairs going up to the bed area which was cool! Upon going up the stairs I did notice under the chairs and table there was a fair bit of dirt and dust. The rest of the room looked clean tho. The hotel was fairly quiet and peaceful for the most part. The beds and pillows were fairly firm for my liking, but still comfy. The smudge room and outdoor area was pretty cool but seemed like it was in the off season since it was a bit dismantled. Hotels never put herbal teas on the rooms and I don’t drink black teas, so this was very nice to see! They had two kinds of herbal teas in the room so I actually got to drink some tea. I don’t know if this is a big deal to some people but it’s a big deal to me! The breakfast was way better than other free hotel breakfast I’ve had at other chain hotels…. They had fresh bannock that I warmed up and dipped in the homemade yogurt! Very good!!! Lots of tea and coffee options. Also fresh fruit and other items! Very good, this is a small thing but makes a huge difference! Beautiful First Nations art all over the property! There were very cool bear dream catchers in our room!

The room that we stayed in was clean, beautiful and it smells good. It was like a gem nestled in China Town. The people are friendly and thorough and gave us a tour where we can find everything in the hotel. We enjoined the sauna and arts gallery. We really recommend it!!

This was the most unique hotel experience I have ever had. It's like staying inside an art museum. There are handmade details everywhere not just as art on the walls, but also built into the architecture. The smudge room and balcony lodge are beautiful and relaxing escapes. The bannock at breakfast was delicious. The staff is extremely friendly and we had several great, long conversations with Rick. The rooms were cozy and clean. We want to come back.

We loved the cool decor in the rooms. The folks there are great! Breakfast was simple and tasty. Loved the art work!Neighborhood can be sketchy after dark because of zombie addicts, but that is a big city problem all around.
