Skimmerhorn Inn

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay there, which was very comfortable and relaxing.I ended up with covid 4 days later, so it was likely I got it from the room, but I can't blame the management of the hotel for that, in all fairness.

Friendly place, but I think the website could use some updating. We were under the impression the pool would be open for our little one, as same wasn’t stated on the website. Room was a good size, but a bit on the dirty side - could have been cleaned a bit better. There was some noticeable dirt on the bedding, both on top and the underside, food left behind in the microwave, cobwebs in the window. No screen on our bedroom window to keep bugs out. All in all, I’d say the place could use some upgrades and a deeper clean in-between clients.

Stay was really good. Price is right and really has a homely feel. Area was super quiet, we didn't hear any door slamming or loud vehicles all night. Room was decently clean, we did find the shower curtain was stinky. Other than that owners are friendly, nice off leash area out back, and playground. Will be back if we go through again.

Rooms were great size, with lots of space but a bit dirty. Pool was closed for some reason, but still advertised.Decent for price and location.

We stopped at the last minute with no reservation. Sam (host & new owner) was very kind and helpful. Service was great, rooms were immaculate with all new bedding, pillows and towels. Beds were comfy. Being an older motel you can hear the water running in adjacent rooms, but that was all we heard. Location is so easy to find being directly off of the highway. There is a great outdoor area with bbq facility, picnic table, fire pit and small playhouse. Would definitely stay again, especially with the fully supplied kitchenette.

The Inn was ok overall. There were some issues we had. I found that everything smelled a bit like cigarette smoke regardless that there's a no smoking sign on the door. The microwave is too high and it didn't spin. The food I warmed in there was hot on the bottom and freezing on the top.The bathroom door doesn't close properly. The sides of the bathtub are too tall, my mom needed help getting both in and out of the tub. The area between the concrete outside and the actual floor into the building needs to be fixed as well. My mom almost fell on her face the first day there. Thankfully I was able to catch her in time. Definitely accessibility issues. My mom has RA and she's very short so the room was hard for her to deal with - microwave is way too high.The company definitely expects you to clean the room yourself ie the sign over the kitchen counter and the towels on the bathroom counter.However the people who worked there seem very nice and understanding when we needed to cut our trip short. My dog loved the back area though!

The absolute best motel I've ever stayed in. Emily is an amazing manager and helps when ever I needed. The rooms were large and very well kept. Huge backyard with horseshoes, a fire pit, a BBQ shack with BBQs and some friendly goats. Would definitely recommend this motel to anyone looking for a place to stay in Creston.

Good clean basic room, stayed just one night but the family was very happy with our suite. Kitchenette, two tvs, sleeps 4, Pet friendly.

One of the best motels ever stayed. Well dressed and clean beds, clean washrooms and as a whole very clean and nicely arranged rooms are really attractive. Appreciate the work done by Cherry and Emily who manage the place. Highly recommend
