Delicious and smoked meats. From the outside you don't expect much, maybe due to the current construction around, but the inside brings you back to the past. The pleasant staff as well as the owner really make you feel welcomed.Back to the food, I can't say it enough, it was delicious and also very well priced. The cornbread here was the best I think I've ever had. The ribs were juicy and the pulled pork was a mixture of melt in your mouth and tender. They supplied multiple sauces which we also enjoyedIcecream... If you like smoky flavored stuff, get the smoked icecream. Very interesting and worth a try.

A must try. Sad I had not tried this place sooner. We dined in for lunch and it was very tasty. The food was hot and full of flavor. The sauces provided were varied enough that each of us were able to find one we liked (I recommend the Alberta Sweet, it was good). I don't know what kind of pickle they gave but if you are a pickle fan you will love the one you get, it was delicious. The staff was great, our waitress was attentive and professional but still down to earth and welcoming.

Delicious BBQ in a historic building that was saved by someone with a great vision. Lunch special was a great deal at $16.95 included a pop. The 5 homemade sauce are delicious. All the beers on tap are local. Weekends they have live music.

We went to a consultation with them about providing the food for our wedding. The owner and staff are all very friendly and open. The samples that were provided were Sooooooooo good.We decided that they were our go to.We only had the food delivered. Not the whole catering service. Their estimates for how much of which foods was pretty much right on the money. Except the meat. We had an older crowd. So not super big eaters, but we had about 50% more meat than we needed. Not complaining. The price was already within our $/plate budget, so extras for our guests was a bonus.Excellent food. Totally recommend.

Best BBQ around!! Homemade sauces!!! Smoked meat charged for by the pound!! SMOKED ICE CREAM EVEN!! Worth a trip from wherever to the old fort road transit hotel in Edmonton!!

I loved this place, food is amazing the server and the owner took time and made sure we knew how everything works, made excellent recommendations and were very knowledgeable about their food and pairings with drinks. 1000/10 will be back for their Mac and cheese and that smoked ice cream... yes smoked ice cream. You feel like you might get mugged in the parking lot, but I guarantee it's worth it

100% one of the beat BBQ smoke houses I have been to in Edmonton!!Please give this place a try. As soon as I walked in the I was taken back in time! The service was phenomenal! Our server was so friendly and just very honest about the menu but you could tell that she loved working there, checked on the table often and was all around one of the best servers. Not only that but the manager came to our table. I was curious about the history and he was more than happy to tell me about the building, the history and the journey of all of their renovations, the building is 114 years old!! Still with a lot of original parts to it too!!Not only that but as a surprise, we were greeted a live musician who was playing his guitar in the bar and had the most angelic voice. Didn't realize we were getting live music but it was such a treat!I have not even started abou the food!! Wow!! Everything was clearly handmade to order and cooked to perfection! It's family style. Starter we had the chicken skins and I have never had them, they are such a guily pleasure, I reccommend getting these! The main we order the beef brisket was fell apart it was cooked so well, corn bread, warm mashed potatoes. Just so much food and we had lots of left overs. Everything we ate was such a treat! The BBQ there seem like it was also handmade. Dessert, we had thier smoked blueberry ice cream, which was also made in house! If anything, try the ice cream!!Overall this place was amazing and I will 100% go here again!Thanks to the restaurant for such a fun, amazing experience!

The food was great, always wanted to try this place and we finally did. Meat platter of 3 meats, all were so tender and the sides were delish, the sauces ....we couldn't choose we had them all and was fricken delicious. My absolute fav part, the dessert. We tried the smoked ice cream and the chocolate cake, it was SO good. The service was awesome and the owner came and talked to us made sure we were good and were enjoying ourselves. No where ever does this anymore, thank you for the great experience

We ordered the three meat platter and chose the chicken, brisket and ribs. Everything was incredibly tender and juicy and the variety of five barbecue sauces served with it were all unique and delicious. I had the sweet potato fries as well, and my husband had the Mac and cheese and we would recommend them both for sure! If you love barbecue, don’t let the location keep you from checking out this amazing smokehouse!

Excellent BBQ place with live music on Saturday evenings. The building is a bit run down, but has a great old-timey feel to it. The owner was very passionate about the place and told us stories about the history of the building, and the gerbil races they used to run.The meat platter was delicious, had good portions and was relatively inexpensive. They have a variety of sauces you can try on the meat, and all of them were very good.
