Dr. Bedy Lau Facial Plastic Surgery

I didn’t read the reviews before my visit. And I was surprised to see all the negative reviews as my visit was very pleasant. I didn’t need to wait much. Well, I arrived 15 min early. So I had time to register and fill out the health check form. Doc Lau came very soon and talked about my issues. He was polite, thorough, efficient and to the point. No complain at all.

I was a little bit late for my appointment because there was very little parking, and the receptionist made us feel incompetent.Then when I finally made it to the room to see Bedy Lau, he was very disrespectful, and treated me as though I were beneath his high status.I will never go back here, or ever recommend this man to help anyone with their medical needs, ear, nose, throat, plastic surgery.

I went into this appointment really nervous because of these reviews. Dr bedy was awesome! He was efficient, knows what he’s doing, explained every step that he was doing. Getting your ears, nose, and throat prodded is never going to be comfortable but none of that is on Dr. Bedy. I’d highly recommend him.

Worst medical experience I've ever had. There was no consent asked for anything they did before it happened. Like the other one star reviews will tell you. You will be forced to have a painful exam that isn't necessary. I question the validity of this person's entire practice. Horrible experience. Plus they made fun of other patients in from of me. Awful, avoid at all cost.

The worst doctor I have ever seen. Shoving the cord camera in my nostrils so carelessly. He never ask for permission or ever say what he is going to do to you. Staff are not very friendly. This doctor is the worst and will never recommend him to anyone. You will get hurt and he doesnt care at all!!

I was so stressed by all the reviews prior to seeing Dr Lau for a ENT visit. My experience was completely different than all the reviews and I wanted to share so people can be less anxious. Maybe he was having a good day when he saw me? Maybe he has reflected and changed? I don’t know, but my visit with Dr Bedy Lau was great. The ENT clinic was clean and sanitized. Lots of covid protocol in place. I waited for an extra 15min to see him, but that is very normal for dr appointments. The nurse informed me that the doctor may cut off my mask during examination, and that they can provide a new one after. Dr Bedy Lau was friendly and patient when he entered and heard about my condition. He told me what he was going to do in advance (like when he was going to use anesthesia for my nostrils to do endoscopy, or cut my mask, or pull down my mask to examine my oral cavity). He had a friendly tone and offered in-depth explanations about my condition, and asked me a lot of questions. He did not hurry me out or brush things aside. He also told me if the problems continue I can come back to him anytime. I actually felt well treated and feel that he is knowledgeable and good at his expertise.

Before I saw Dr Lau I read these reviews and was disappointed my dr referred me to him. After seeing him myself I think he’s an amazing doctor! Super friendly and caring! The reception staff are also amazing! I would refer Dr Lau without a second thought! I don’t understand the reviews that say “he did the tube up the nose test without asking first”. That’s ridiculous - it’s what he does, it’s literally his job! And it’s to be expected! I’m very happy I was referred to him - he’s amazing and efficient! Thank you Dr Lau and everyone that works there!

If I could give this 0 stars, I would. Dr. Lau was DISRESPECTFUL, CONDESCENDING, RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. Waited 30 minutes for Dr. Lau to ignore my concerns and interrupt whenever I tried to speak. WITHOUT PRIOR WARNING NOR INFORMED CONSENT, he ANESTHETIZED ME and FORCED AN ENDOSCOPE into my nose. Along with that, he cut my mask before lifting my mask over my nose without telling me(I could have removed it but he did not ask?!) I am so disheartened and disappointed and I will be filing an official complaint with the College of Physicians and Surgeons in British Columbia. This is UNACCEPTABLE behaviour.

Read the other 1 star reviews, because they can pretty much summarize everything bad there is to say about Dr. Bedy Lau. I waited months to be seen by him and he rushed through my appointment within a few minutes and said there's nothing wrong with me, before tossing a prefilled prescription at me with a medication that is not covered by insurance. I'm hoping that my doctor can be refer me to a new nose specialist to get a second opinion -- something about this guy just seems a little sketchy to be trusted!
