MYNA

I love MYNA!! It was a huge part of my life when I was in middle school and high school, and the first Muslim community I came to feel like I was actually a part of. Over the years, MYNA gave me some of my most valued mentors and friends, and opportunities I'm still shook at how lucky I was to have growing up. It has a really unique model that puts youth at the center of all its programming by making them the ones organizing and executing the events - even for the biggest (and bestest!!) event of the year, MYNA camp! Very cool group for young people to get involved with :) Check it out if you're in the area!

I first discovered MYNA through the summer camp this year. Coming into ISNA that morning, I did not know how much MYNA would impact my life. I have made some of the most meaningful friendships, discovered so much about myself and my connection to my deen, and I have developed so many important skills through their programs that have greatly helped me when applying for jobs and programs! Every single MYNA event is so well planned and each member really is passionate about ensuring that everyone gains the most from their time.Overall, a 10/10! highly recommended for any Muslim youth!
