Really disappointing experience. I’ve been here before and although the service was slow and unfriendly, the peach milk tea I had was delicious, so I didn’t mind.This time I got a taro purple rice milk tea and it was full of chunky red bean paste mixed in with what felt like lard or butter. I know red bean is popular, but I really don’t like it. Unfortunately it didn’t mention it in the description, or I would have gotten something else.The tea itself tasted like milk and sugar, no taro flavour at all. I wasn’t asked how sweet I want it or any other questions they usually ask when you order. It was gross and I only drank half of it because felt bad wasting it.On top of that I got the wrong change, either the person assumed their own tip, or was not paying attention, but my change was off by a dollar.

This was our 2nd time ordering from a Ben Gong's Tea store. We had enjoyed the Pu'erh Milk Tea with cube shaped jelly in it at the SFU branch of Ben Gong's. This time we tried the Warm Grapes Drink and the Peach Fruit Tea.The Peach Fruit Tea was quite pleasant; however, the Warm Grapes Drink was disappointing. It basically tasted like warm grape juice which wasn't very appealing. I don't think we'd bother trying any of their other warm fruit drinks. As flat and as uninteresting as it gets. Very basic milk tea going around gathering hype for no reason. We wanted to order a Brown Sugar Pearl Milk Tea and for some reason the pictures on Google maps kept showing a menu which had that on the menu for much less than what it was priced at the store. Asked for fresh milk but the barista kept insisting about organic milk, saying they don't have regular milk. Out of nowhere the second barista comes in and negates the first barista, changing our order to regular milk, which left us confused as to how does someone not know if they carry regular milk or not. Had to send back the drinks three times asking for more sugar, even though we asked for extra sweet. Maybe they were having an off day, maybe they didn't but it's definitely not worth paying $20 for two drinks there.

very refreshing passion fruit soda tea after walking along the sunset beach. great chill place to grab a drink nearby Stanley Park. Thanks to the young cheerful barista who introduced and made this refreshing drink.

New kid kinks?I called in to order. Sounded friendly, repeated my order. Didn’t ask for my name or number or provide an estimate how long my order would take.I arrived about 10 minutes later thinking it would be enough time but I was wrong.It didn’t seem busy. A couple just placed an order before I arrived. There seemed to be some sort of issue with an ingredient no longer available for them which is fine.Overall it probably took about 20-25 minutes to get my order from when I placed it which seems a little long.The Dahongpao brown sugar milk tea was not good. Very subtle flavours, I had a hard time wanting to finish.But the taro purple rice was really good!I MIGHT come back and try more flavours...not too sure at this point.

Tasteless tea and even more tasteless pearls. I’m mortified that someone may be trying their first bubble tea here and thinking that this is what bubble tea is. Look at this photo - does it look like there’s any tea at all in here?? Really regret spending my money here.Edit: I gave them a second chance, and it was just as tasteless and terrible as the first.

Highly recommend to try, compare with other popular bubble tea brands, Ben Gong tea is kinda beyond average. Lots of beverages, toppings choices, fresh fruits and great size. Staff are extremely friendly!

Bengong’s is the only place I know of in Vancouver that offers tea cubes bubble tea which I love so much.The service is so nice , very fast and polite cashier/barista.My milk tea was made to perfection with the instructions I wanted and was handed to me very nice and kindly.I definitely recommend this place 10/10.
