Harris Boat Works

I was left pretty disappointed with my second visit to Harris.Last summer, I took the boat in to have it looked at. I was told the ECU was the culprit and that I could get a new one or get the current one tested and repaired. I chose the latter and sent it off myself.When it was tested and confirmed working, it was returned to me and installed. The boat still won’t run.I returned to Harris a few weeks ago. I followed their advice, repaired what they said was the problem (ECU) and when I brought it back this time, they said nothing could be done. In fact, they didn’t tell me anything. They emailed me an invoice without explanation. The recommendation was to take it somewhere else.When I called, they just told me they couldn’t figure it out and for me to pick it up. No charge.No explanation of what was done to diagnose the boat besides “hooked it up to the computer” and they couldn’t figure out what to do with it and gave up on it.I had no time constraints. No financial pressure to keep costs low. I just wanted my boat fixed.

Excellent boat launch. Great service with amazing recommendations that do not disappoint. Honest business in a great area. Busy place.

It’s easy to get here, plenty of parking. We were here to launch non-motorized watercraft, the staff were helpful in guiding us and the fee was $10/vehicle. We enjoyed the scenery very much.One thing to be cautious though, the signal is weak here for smaller service providers such as Freedom Mobile.

Bought a Legend 18 XTE fish and ski from Harris this year. The process was super easy and smooth. Got exactly what we were looking for. We were not pressured at all and were not up-sold on things we did not need. Would highly recommend doing business with Harris Boat Works!

Awesome place with friendly staff! Lots of room to park your car and trailer once you launch your boat for the day! Washrooms were clean and social distancing measures were in place. The boat shop is very convenient, we noticed a blown bulb on our trailer before heading back home to brampton and we were able to purchase a bulb there so we could safely tow. Thank you for your awesome service!

Had my boat winterized here. Come time for spring pickup the experience was not what I had expected given the smooth and pleasant process during drop off. Folks I spoke to on the phone was not pleasant.They cleaned the boat when I had explicitly ask them multiple times not too - when I detested the cleaning charge they waived it so that’s fine.Work was done on the motor without my knowledge or authorization. How did they know I wanted the work done or was willing to pay whatever it was they wanted to charge?I had already sold the boat and pending pickup for the new owners. Had they let me know what work was recommended and price I would have not authorized it. Was forced to pay for something I would not want done.I feel iffy about the whole thing because the fuel pump was running perfectly fine when I dropped it off. What made it more suspect was that when I questioned the repair I was told the motor would not run at all so that’s why I needed it. But when I checked the notes in the work order it stated that the motor did not run “well”. Which one is it?? Did it actually not run?All of that aside they did leave out the boat on the Sunday for me to pick up which was appreciated. The boat was very well cleaned and I’m sure the workmanship on the fuel pump is fine since it turned on and ran just like she’ll when I had dropped it off.Their online customer portal is great and point system is a bonus.I’d still recommend HBW for your boating needs but just be sure to request they get your authorization before performing any additional billable work on your boat.

Rented a 16 pro sport legend boat for fishing. Boat was clean and full of gas. First time renting a boat here. Will definitely go back. Great customer service as well! Front office has worms, drinks and some snacks as well. Thanks Harris Boat Works!

I just had a bunch of work done to my boat. I couldn't be more satisfied then I am now. I needed all new steering and throttle controls. New auto-bilge pump and an impeller kit.HBW came in under estimate and in less time then expected.I'm so glad I found these folks. They are friendly, extremely knowledgeable and willing to go that extra mile.Don't go anywhere else if you have a choice. HBW will make you happy.
