Canadian Forces Recruiting

If you are looking to join the Canadian Forces, stay away from this detachment center. You will grind tooth and nail getting the staff here to get anything done for you. My application was sent here from North Bay, they are supposed to reach out within 10 business days, they did not. After calling they said they would send the required documents to me, they did not. Calling a third time, same result. I have verified twice that they have the correct email. I then received an email a month later reminding me to submit the requested documents. WHAT REQUESTED DOCUMENTS?! I replied to the email and explained the situation, weeks later no response. Go to Toronto.

I took my son to the recruiting office in hopes of finding first hand information on the forces from a recruiter. We drove over an hour and waited in a waiting room for half and hour only to be greeted by very rude woman who said all the information is on the website and rushed us out the door. At the very least I expected to have a sit down discussion about the various trades in the forces instead I had a stand up discussion with a forces personel who seemed as though she did not have the time of day. I encourage everyone interested in information regarding the forces to look elsewhere.
