Lies and delays when it comes to making repairs. wish there was a rating below zero so I can give to Minto. I hope the people in the management see those reviews.

I want to ask Minto why my family and I have been subjected to major health hazard and discomfort.We purchased a new house from Minto in Manotick. Since we moved into our house, back in Dec 2020, we are dealing with many deficiencies. There is no excuse for such poor workmanship or for negligence to inspect that each stage of work is done properly.As if this was not bad enough, we discovered a major water leak and several month growth of mold in my house back in February. It resulted in1- Putting the health and well-being of my family in a great jeopardy since the mold growth spread in walls and floors of main bathroom, linen closet, parts of main bedroom and kitchen ceiling. My family has been exposed to this mold since we moved in on Dec 3rd because there was a big hole in the main bathroom wall near the light fixture. This is the area that mold was formed and we were exposed to it.2- Loss of use of main bathroom, linen closet and turning my main bedroom into storage area for bathroom counter top, light fixtures, cabinet drawers and other personal stuff that we kept in linen closet and main bathroom since February.3- Turning my house into a construction zone since February and it still continues. It means my family and I have been subjected to hazards of- Constant exposure to workers and potential danger of catching the Covid-19 virus,- Being exposed to dust, dirt and debris, from the front door all the way to upstairs floor,every time work is being done. Workers tried to clean up but it is not really clean; so wehave had to clean up every single time that work was done in my house.4- My wife and I had to lose several days of work to stay home so workers can enter the house and work. We have lost work days because of Minto's failures to provide us with a brand new defect free house.5- As home owners, my family and I have been subjected to many discomforts. No one should live through what we have been enduring.As home owner, my family and I are paying a great price for all the deficiencies and issues that Minto failed to address and fix before we moved in. There are also certain upgrades that are not done.Minto does not have enough staff in its MasterCare to fix deficiencies in homes after being moved in. It has been several months that we have moved in and there are many deficiencies are not fixed yet.It is bitterly disappointing and sad as we trusted Minto to deliver a well-built quality home as it has been claiming. Imagine how it would reflect on the media.

Tomorrow, June 3rd, 2017, is the official opening day for the new Minto community, Harmony, to give out lots. A few days before I spoke with a sales agent about the process of selling houses. They convinced me that all the houses will be sold an a first come first serve basis (I have all the information to prove it). But what a surprise was waiting for me today. When I stopped by the sales centre, I saw a sign that many lots were already sold in private sale yesterday, June 1st, 2017. Do not believe in Minto honesty, our consumer rights were declined.

Very unimpressed with Minto and their workers common sense. They started my house work November 15. It is now after Christmas and my kitchen trim has been left unattached for over a month. Initially they incorrectly cut all their material, then they ordered the wrong trim. Just saying, my boyfriend could’ve done this is a day. We have a baby learning to crawl and this has been a hazard. I’ve informed anyone I can from Minto and no one does anything. We’ve had to create barriers so when we hosted Christmas, the children wouldn’t hurt themselves. Will have to do the same thing for NYE. Absolutely unacceptable and the fact they think it is- blows me away.

I live at the Rockhill, a Minto property in Montreal. Admin staff and maintenance do their best under impossible conditions.It's a complex of 6 very large buildings that are 55 years old. They aren't new buildings and require constant renovations. In addition, there are chronic issues from floods to serious disrepair, as well as huge construction projects.Yet Minto has just 1 coordinator looking after 2 buildings each and trying to do so without enough maintenance people. Today there was one plumber for all six buildings. It's chaos.Residents file with the rental board on a regular basis. I can't imagine the mansion their lawyer lives in. Yet they let their employees and residents make do with truly challenging conditions.I've been a renter for 40 years and I've never been at a worse place. Minto needs to do more than buy buildings. They need to invest in their staff and honour their agreements with residents.

SHORT SUMMARY: The lady on the phone was rude.I don't know the company too much, but i called the infomation one day, forgetting i had called them before and the lady on the phone was super rude! I had called earlier that week asking for the price on a building. The building was out of my price range so i kindly told them so, when i called back for the other apartment for cheaper, the lady on the phone said; I see you have called earlier this week and did not like our prices." Might i add the tone on her voice was super rude and it sounded like she was putting me on the spot. She didn't even let me say what i called for

Renting from Minto has been a constant headache. They have been one of the worst landlords / property mgmt companies we've ever had to deal with. I strongly recommend to avoid Minto if possible. To be clear, my review is only regarding our experience in a Minto apartment - I have not dealt with them in any other context.

Would not recommend to anyone to purchase a home from Minto. They did not deliver the product that was promised and their follow through to make it right is almost non existent.

Virtually every step of our home buying, building, move-in, and warranty were horrendously mishandled by this amateurish dive of a home builder. I have never seen such a lack of professionalism and courtesy from any corporation. Their business reeks of mediocrity and greed, placing their own interests above all else, and selling cheaply built homes completely devoid of pride.

NEVER RENT FROM MINTO! EVER! Just don't do it. My girlfriend and I had an absolutely terrible experience renting an apartment from them. I sublet my apartment almost a month and a half ago and I'm still waiting for the idiots in their regional office to process my check. I will never interact with Minto inc for the rest of my life.
