Remember when you were a kid and the donuts were fresh and baked in store ? THIS! Get you nostalgia here ! They aren’t fancy donuts but they are old-school deliciousness that have flavour that makes your eyeballs roll back into your skull. It was my first time there and my sons first time ever experiencing what a donut was meant to taste like. He said “I’m sure glad they make they’re doughnuts themselves, these are amazing “ ( I told him I was excited to take him there after seeing all of the great reviews) . A MUST try in Edmonton!

I was in search of a childhood memory of a traditional mom and pop donut shop and discovered this place on the other side of town. It was worth the half hour drive - and so much more.I grew up in a time of Sunshine Donuts on 109 Street and 65 Ave. The donuts were simple, fresh, and cheap back then. I’ve tried all these fancy $5+/donut places popping up but none lived up to the simplicity of Sunshine Donuts. But today I took a trip back in time and drove out to 118 Ave and 48 Street to discover Take5.I’m sooo grateful there are still hard working individuals getting up at 4 am to make delicious melt in your mouth donuts like I remember from my childhood.In this day and age of industrial food and corporate chains, there still exists a bit of humanity. I can’t tell you how much this experience means to me. Thank you from the bottom of my heart Take 5!

Donuts were light, fluffy and not too sweet. I went later in the day but they still had a good selection left. About $13 for half dozen, so not expensive. Coffee was good too.

I came here to try the legendary doughnuts, I asked for a dozen dozens without cream filling. And I got 8 doughnuts with cream filling.. so I'm a little disappointed. But I didn't notice until the box was full. So that's on me

Great prices for coffee and they have specials as well! Amazing cookies too. It's a nice sit in coffee shop. Great service and staff anytime we went.I think they're renovating the inside or something though as along the side wall was construction material and plastic.Either way, great place!

A ton of donut choices, like so much it’s hard to decide.We tried a few basics and me and my daughter agree that the donuts here are some of the best in town for dough donuts. Cake style donuts were meh. Filled donuts were great! We had the Black Forest filled and it was delish.We will definitely be back to explore more.

We were new for this Take 5 donuts a month ago and Take 5 changed us. We always love fancy donuts, example: Destination donuts which is still our favourite but Take 5 turn out to be our first choice to crave for donuts! Their price is good not expensive and lovely customer service plus you feel simple but special when you inside their restaurant. I just really love that! We keep going back there, sometimes we just go there for donuts breakfast with our pyjamas lol it was great!

Fantastic find!! Old school donut shop and worth the visit. Personal preference to the yeast donut over the cake ones but both were fresh. Yeast donuts were exactly what real donuts were and should be, so soft and full of flavor. Enjoyed a delicious authentic egg salad sandwich and a large fresh assorted sub. Get a snack here and you won't be disappointed!! IMPORTANT NOTE: DOES NOT ACCEPT CREDIT OR TAP. Cash or debit only.

A nice friendly place, stopped for a coffee and a treat. It was reasonably priced and very tasty, served by friendly welcoming staff. I had a couple of sausage spicy rolls and some cookies, very tasty, and a chocolate covered eclair, sse picture. Thanks for the service and we will return.
