Couldn't find it. They are not even listed at the address provided and there is no phone number. Frustrating.

These folks don't deserve the one star review they got so I thought I should throw in my two cents. I love them. Super friendly, helpful and a lovely selection of locally made and/or dyed yarns. They advocate for local fiber artists, makers, retailers and if you can't find what you're after in their shop, they will help you find it as best they can by recommending you check out other local products or even bringing in a specific colorway, from a yarn they already stock, etc. Follow the directions on their social media, go during actual hours and you will find them no problem! When you're on the north side of Whyte Ave, you will see their sign saying something like Yarn!" on the street. Follow the directions on the sign

This is a totally awesome little shop. I love the focus on Alberta made yarn and the woman who was helping me was so knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. I am just starting my spinning journey and she seemed genuinely excited and happy for me. It was a very warm and positive experience. This shop is totally worth the drive and whyte ave parking challenges.

Alberta Yarn Project is one of my favourite places in Edmonton. The folks who run it are very friendly and helpful. Check out the Craft & Draft events, it's a great opportunity to meet people and get assistance with your projects.

This exciting young company offering homegrown yarn has changed my thinking about the kind of yarn I want to use. And, the kinds of garments and accessories I want to wear and use. My understanding of wanting super-wash has also changed. Beautiful softness can also be achieved without it. In its place I can make things that last longer and keep their shape and beauty. While I don’t live in Alberta, as a Canadian I’m want to do my part to support an Alberta economy in transition away from fossil fuels. But, the proof of the pudding is in the yarn and its result. It’s beautiful to work with and wear. The yarn compares well with that from Shetland or from that offered by Brooklyn Tweed, but at a much better price. I haven’t been this excited about yarn since I learned to knit over 50 years ago.
