JAM Sports KW-Cambridge

As a first time participant in JAM leagues this year, I think the lack of care our team(s) have seen through inaction should be made apparent. Notable red flags here if you're considering putting money into JAM.1. JAM failed to provide a staff member for field setup; fees did not lower from previous seasons. The onus of setup fell to a random team, no one has seen any money back from this change despite inquiring. Extra money pocketed by the league from teams that would usually be used to pay a staff member.2. Six teams in the league, and JAM did nothing doubling up on team colours that could have been avoided. We brought back-up clothing to differentiate of course, but only two teams were put in an awkward spot every few weeks when it could be entirely avoided, detracting from the intended experience.3. In our final weeks of playoffs this season, there was a failure of communication by JAM to every team in the league. They failed to notify any teams of a venue change. The consequence in the last week of playoffs was that everyone of course showed up to the wrong location, started to play in extreme wind, the field lights never came on leaving teams in the literal dark, forcing everyone to call off their game. They reached out to reschedule the final week, but I can't even imagine how many people's schedules were forcibly changed or who missed the final game of playoffs due to the scheduling error.All that to say, buyer beware, and that I hope these errors are sincerely learned from to create a better experience for players going forward.

Great well run league that keeps everyone safe so that fun can be had. Well done JAM!!!

It's great that an org like JAM exists, but there are some inconsistencies that could easily be addressed.Use of fees should be clear-cut and consistent.Other than the occasional time-keeper, players don't seem to reap many benefits. Our team never actually got our prize" and never received our shirts during the summer season. When time-keepers did show

Who the hell schedules games to start at 9:45PM on a weeknight…I get that we’re provided a range of times, but to have 2/3rds of games starting at the latest possible time is ridiculous.

Great league! Very friendly league especially if you want to try out new sports and don't have an enough people to make a team and want to join as a free agent (Definitely recommend multi-sports option if you want to play something new every week).

I love playing with JAM !Such a great way to meet people & get active. Fun is always #1 priority. Staff are super helpful.
