I know the civic halls get bad reputations but every time I have been in this building the receptionists and administrative staff have been hugely helpful. The lady gave me her local paper because I didn't get one delivered to my house. I don't know the mayor but this city is being more progressive than in Vancouver where I am originally from. Things need to be done in this city and having good facilitators do those things are a key to having low crime low water and tax bills etc etc.

I am very disappointed in City of Vernon’s handling of the snow this year. The roads are absolutely horrendous now. If they had been cleared during the snowfalls they would be in much better condition right now. Absolute waste of our tax dollars!

The City of Vernon is the oldest community in Okanagan and the largest city in the North Okanagan, surrounded by three lakes. Within one hour drive from Vernon there are more than 100 lakes in the area. It is a wonderful place to visit and get your history lesson from Vernon’s famous murals.

Disgusting amounts of garbage everywhere in this city. Vernon should be ashamed for not cleaning it up.
