Sid did a fabulous job for us. He removed a squirrel nest and discovered another issue with our chimney- the top was crumbling and our cap was rusted and broken. He came back and repaired our chimney. Sid was thorough and his work was very good. We were very happy and would highly recommend.

Sid has come out to clean our chimney twice now. He did a great job and he took the time to give me great tips and advice. He answered all of my questions and even offered to sell me tools to learn how to do it myself. I would highly recommend Able Wood & Gas.

My son purchased his 1st home in December, it had a wood burning stove that needed certification. Able sold him that he charges $500 for an inspection versus $250 like the others, since he doesn't fail a fireplace easily, he looks for getting it certified for the least amount.He went ahead with Sid... well he came in, took 1/2 hour and said there'd been a chimney fire in the past & needed a new chimney...it would be $2,000 and off he went, $500. in his pocket and no sign of caringI called that afternoon and said could we get a written estimate. Sid was put out, an obvious inconvenience & said he doesn't do quotes very often. But since Christmas was in 2 weeks, it would be later...oh maybe by the 3rd week of January. Still waiting...I asked if we did the work can he give us a deal on a re-inspection after seeing the finished work, maybe its 10 minutes at the house. He said $275 minimum...He was definitely upset that we found $2,000 expensive. When looking into parts, it appeared the new chimney could be purchased for $500This was a very bad experience, from someone use to bullying his way to make money. A total lack of professionalism.

Excellent customer service! Sid did a top-notch job with my woodstove installation. He was very knowledgable, quick & efficient. He had no problem answering any of my questions. Plus, he gave great advice as well!
