Nice place to go. The woman at the front office knows her onions. She told me of what to do in Hinton. Places where I can do day hike, etc and the best time to see the beavers which is in the evening time. If I want to see wild life, what highway to go. She gave me a few literatures and magazines. She also let me know where to find the best burgers and coffee. It appears that she's promoting local businesses though.

This is an excellent place to go for any information you need for any information. When asked, the employees are extremely knowlegable and are eager to give you brochures and information booklets on surrounding hikes and activities. They know the difficultiy in each of the hikes and even the condition of the roads leading to the trailheads! The reason that I gave 4 stars was because although they know a lot about the area, it seems that they can only recall infomation on these trails once directly brought up. For instance when asked if there were any cool things to see nearby, they struggled to think of any, but once I asked about the Bruleé cemetary and mountain park abandoned town, they were then able to recall all of the info I needed. So I would absolutely come here for detailed local information on trails and attractions, but I would suggest coming with a few places attractions in mind first!

What a super dedicated and enthusiastic employee! Officially the information center was closing but Melissa assisted us with our visit to Jasper. She made great suggestions and we were able to visit most of the places she suggested. Give her a raise!!!

Well located. The staff was very cordial, although the access to information was limited to websites. They should try and sync up better with Jasper Visitor Center since a lot of folks visiting Jasper stay at Hinton.

A must stop for amazing information in the area. This was a memorable moment as we found out during our visit that our home away from home in Guyana has already laid out the carpet to welcome us!The wonderful woman who works here was open and available to answer all our questions. Thanks for an amazing experience!!

Locally owned - not a chain! Great food, hand-prepared quickly, and attentive counter service. Backpackers Coffee (dark roast) was really good and robust.

Nice visitors centre. Outside there is nice benches and picnic tables for people to use. Inside there is lots of visitor info and washrooms that are available. A great rest stop on your way to somewhere else. Some green space to enjoy. The is some interesting information boards that are on the property to enjoy and find out how the yellow head highway got its name.

Staff were Googling info for us, which I can also do. The one piece of information they gave without Google was incorrect:)They also weren’t too familiar with the maps. Overall it seems that having two people work there is a complete waste; just put out the pamphlets and maps and people can figure out things from there with some Googling and calling places.

Beautiful building on the outside.Don't let that fool you. The actual tourist and information area is a small room with nothing to look at. A few info papers. 4 postcards. Nothing else. Very dresry and disappointing.
