Terrible experience:- Overbooking : I rented on a Sunday, and no car was available. 60+ people were like me and we all had to wait 3+ Hrs to get a car.I missed a boat tour I had plan to go to on the same day- Fuel option is a scam and not explained properly: The fuel price per liter may be lower than outside, but you are charged for the FULL tank- in the confusion of the situation I was charged for a LWD insurance I did not request. I did not read properly the contract, but they did no ask me.AVOID at all costs.

We had such a great experience renting a car here. We had an unexpected long layover so our group of 3 decided to rent a car for s few hours to explore the city. The rate was affordable and the gentleman who helped us was excellent. He made the entire transaction quick and smooth for us and hassle free. He recommended a few shopping centres for us, and the most amazing Poutine place in town. I’m upset I didn’t get his name, but all I can say is, he is an asset to Dollar rent a car. They are lucky to have him! We rented at about 3pm on Sunday.

DO NOT USE THE DOLLAR CAR RENTAL. They accused us for having damaged the car we rented, which is completely made up. When the car was returned, which had no damage to, nobody at the office inspected the car. Weeks later, they are claiming that there's damage. We requested evidence, but they never responded to the request and keep repeating their false story. We will never use it again and so shouldn't anyone. Hard to fathom how such a shady business can occupy a corner of the Montreal airport along with other car rentals.Obviously they deserve no start in rating, but I'm giving one since it's required for a post.

Horrible experience with this car rental agency. The man behind the counter, Mohamed, wouldn't help us and started badmouthing us to his co-worker after we called for his attention. Completely unprofessional.

Horrible experience - dishonest. Our son rented his first car there. They gave him the insurance even though he declined it and gave him the roadside protection without even asking. Rate was also increased from what was on the reservation. I brought this to corporate's attention and there response was he signed it." Nice way to take advantage of a young adult and a good example of what he can expect from the world."

worst experience Ever, the guy was so rude and disrespectful, his name was Mustafa. They have no idea what customer service is. I had a reservation for midsize car like Sonata, But Montreal gave me a very small compact size Kia Soul. Said That's what they have. And He also said they are in same category. Sure! I ask for manger, he wasn't any better. He offered me a dirty minivan with full of dog hair all over every seats. Like Someone said, I gave dollar one star because there's no zero star. Liar!

My car pick up at 8:00pm and it took over 2 hr to just pick the car. Do not trust the google map’s location, ask the security guard for the location. Very frustrating, turo and enterprise is much better.

Worst experience EVER !!I booked through PricelineI arrived Sept 1st 2022 at 11:30pm. At the Montreal Airport locationThe rep that served me from Dollar Rent A CarDecided that he would charge me an additional 60 dollars for young driver feeeven though my Priceline invoice clearly stated that I was a driver betweenages 21-25 He just handed me the Car key DID NOT even bother to do the usual walk around of the car with me to check for any existing scratches or damagesBasically instructed me to just take a photo if I saw any scratchesOnce I reached home and turned on the lights in my garage I noticed a scratch I took a picture indicating date and TimeI brought the car back Sept 5 at 6:20pm Dealt with a very condescending rude agent who did not believe anything I was saying He basically accused me of scratching the car then told me I would be charged 600.00 for this scratch that I never caused.They made me fill out a claims report and now I have to go through the headaches of a dispute because their employee was too lazy to check the car before giving it to me They are going to try and make me pay for a scratch in the car that was there when I picked it up SCAMMERSThis is the worst experience that I have ever had with a car rental company. The staff is rude unprofessional and incompetentI will NEVER USE THIS COMPANY AGIAIN!!

Waited 1/2 hour in Montreal YUL to pickup car due to family in front of me with issues. Car tires were bald in the center, car stalled 3 times, and previous renters Hertz paperwork was still in the car. Very unsafe over 80 kph shook like crazy. Hertz uses the same cars but has different personnel. Still Dollar was the cheapest option with Capital One travel. And I'm still alive. I was overcharged by $200 but I'm hoping that was just a Pre Authorization and it Will be corrected.

Terrible experience, they gave us a car with a worn tire and we had to stop halfway to put a new tire paying for it with our money, since it was the only solution they gave us. After this, we said that they pay us the money that the tire cost us, they replied that in a week we would receive the money and, half a year has passed and it has not yet arrived. Without a doubt, a very disappointing situation and it makes me very angry to think about it.
