Stunning view - some sand exposed during summer low tides. Popular place to launch boat's from. Nice walkway along roadside with benches for enjoying that incredible scenery. Well kept public bathrooms at this location. Angle parking. Great for watching Herring Boat Catch during the winter. The Air Force Beach, Kye Beach are at low tide extensive SANDY BEACHES. Awesome for OFF LEASH DOG walking & playing fetch, but...please be prepared to pick up your dog's waste - because... CHILDREN PLAY on these BEACHES (& thank you). Beach fires are not allowed on either of these beaches at any time. Bathrooms are near the picnic/ playground area at Kye Beach and the convenience store at Air Force. Parking is limited at Kye during summer months, so please park diagonally if possible. Thank you.Best beach for beach fire's (has actual sites) & somewhat sandy beaches (need to do some rock walking to get to the big sandy stretches) is...GOOSE SPIT. Lagoon is constantly used for launching kayak's & paddle boards.. Also has breathtaking views with easily accessible benches & picnic tables. Bathrooms along roadside towards Navy Base. Sea life can often be found or seen along these shores. Lagoon a popular place for para- surfing during winter storms. Park staff there during busy summer hour's to answer any questions.

Imagine there is a Park in the Valley and it is beautiful because of the color that is Purple. To rocks to water to plants to sea creatures to sand to trees to flowers and people who loves to walk or swim or picnic or do a meditation from dawn to dusk is a perfect place to be.Feel the breeze and take a deep breath by inhaling and exhaling and gaze the waves and the motion of everything around you.Good day to all!Prophet Ramona

Nice park, clean and not crowded. The playground is one of my niece's and nephews favorite. The view is astounding and the beach seems to go for ever when the ties is out.

Really nice beach, especially when the tide is out. Connects to Airforce beach, so the area is very large. People can spread out and still have lots of space. Added entertainment of watching the aircraft come and go from the base, and also the Little River ferry to Powell River. A few shallow tide pools to wade around in. Perfect beach for kites when the wind is right. Beautiful views of the coastal islands and mountains. There is a shoal of rocks/barnacles/seaweed/muck before it transitions to sand, so make sure you bring appropriate footwear.***Off-leash dogs can sometimes be annoying. It seems no one teaches their dogs recall anymore.

Sandy and shallow for a long stretch (almost hip deep for an adult). Beautiful location, probably my fav of all the beaches in the area and less busy. Nice drive too. It was easy for my Grandma to get to the water since there is a path and it's flatter
