Whether you go in the summer months or winter for a snowshoe hike you'll have a pleasant experience with it's beautiful views and easy trails. Visiting for a session with the park interpreter is a bonus if you're looking to learn the history of the area. The only negative is the lack of somewhat modern bathroom facilities which isn't the end of the world but note worthy

Hard to rate as staff saw us arriving, ran inside and locked the door without speaking to us. Then 3 employees came out and went straight to their vehicles without even acknowledging we were standing there.I guess it wasn't open but it would have been nice if they had said hello and told us that. Not great service for those in the tourism industry.

Quite a little gem. You can geese watch, go on a quick hike around the lake, do arts and crafts in the sunroom, or go critter catching with the provided nets and buckets. Found this place randomly on a motorcycle cruise.

The trail is a nice walk. The interpretive center means well, but sorta falls short on execution. There were 2 interpreters there, who give you the speech that it's not a museum and you can touch anything not labeled as do no touch. It held my kids attention for about 5 minutes. The observation room in neat, bit the windows were all grimy and you could barely look through them with the available binoculars. In all honesty, the center was a glorified rest stop. The place has ample parking. To be fair, I would imagine that during the fall migration place would be a better visit.

Thanks Emma for your extensive knowledge of the Whiteshell PP. Our family had fun chatting with you and enjoyed other things in the Park that we didnt know about had it not been for our conversation. Thanks again!

Lovely place. Self guided hiking trail would have been better if it wasn't overgrown.

I visited this park twice in 2022. The first time in April when there was still snow and the next time in June. The main building is open now and there are lots of gorgeous exhibits in it. It’s free to visit and you’ll learn a lot. Staff are friendly and helpful.I’ve visited this nature park several times in the last year. We came in August 2021 to photograph Perseud’s meteor showers. I visited again in April 2022 and recently in June 2022. The lake is gorgeous all year round and I always enjoy hiking and photographing the lake and forests and little bridges. The exhibit is open now and there are lots of interesting and fascinating information in there. This centre is definitely worth the visit!! It’s free to visit.
