Yoga Center Iyengar De Montréal

L'approche Iyengar est très spéciale, très rigoureuse. J'ai trouvé cela intéressant, différent de d'autres approches plus axés sur l'aspect plus endoctrinaire. Si jamais je choisis de refaire des cours, ce sera avec Iyengar. Les profs sont super compétents!

I'm not very knowledgable about this type of yoga, I do understand that it is a more rigid form of yoga, therefor I do not want to emphasize too much on the lack of warmth and welcome I felt when I came here. However I think it is fair for me to tell others who may be beginners that I definitely would not recommend this studio. From the beginning the whole experience was a bit stressful for me. There was really no moment for me to practice mindfulness in this class. The instructor had a rather cold and direct approach to teaching, I felt like I was being commanded rather than coached. I also want to mention that the person I spoke to on the phone was very kind and told me to come a bit early to have a basic review of the course, I also hoped to be able to ask questions before the class in order to educate myself further about this form of yoga and to discuss a serious knee injury I have and how it would effect my performance, but the instructor seemed very uninterested. Biggest thing for me was how I felt totally unwelcomed and a little disregarded from the moment I entered the studio, and that the instructions during the class felt more like commands or orders, which were sometimes hard to follow. I am typically very at peace and can thrive in a yoga session, however after 10 minutes of being there I really wanted to leave.

Pour moi, le plus complet des yogas avec des professeurs très bien formés! Je recommande vraiment.

Le local est invitant et les professeurs très compétents et attentionnés. Peu importe le niveau, on reçoit un enseignement précis et adapté. C'est le seul type de yoga que je connais, mais je trouve qu'il y a un bon équilibre entre les aspects physiques et plus intérieurs de la pratique. Les professeurs sont facile d'approche et toujours ouverts à des questions.
