Beautiful spot to watch ships go by and enter the Welland Canal via lock 1. The road becomes private past the public warf. Do not tie-up your vessel on the south basin where you see the pilot boat, as the walls aren't maintained and you risk hitting the metal lock gates in the bottom. The garbage bin you see is locked, please dispose of your waste elsewhere. Signs are posted about procedure for small crafts and yacht transit.
