Thompson Medical Centre (TMC+) on Hyde Park

I had an amazing experience when coming in to TMC! Saw Dr. Toft about a month ago and I was impressed by how caring and helpful he is. Can’t wait to come back this week for my follow up appointment.

My review is about the clinic. My wife is registered as a patient with one of the Dr.s. Every single time she goes there the receptionist( African Canadian lady)is very rude and racially profiling her because she speaks with an accent or she she an immigrant. Last time my wife complained about this person and she knows her self very well. She gave my wife an appointment to come to the clinic, once she arrived she says sorry you don’t have an appointment bye. Really is that how you treat people because you are mentally sick. I will make a formal complaint against this attitude.

I recently had the pleasure of having Dr. Al Nobani as our pediatrician at Thompson Medical Center, and I am incredibly grateful for the exceptional care he provides to my children. From the very first visit, it was evident that he is not only highly knowledgeable but also genuinely passionate about the well-being of young patients.Dr. Al Nobani's expertise in pediatrics is evident in his thoroughness and attention to detail during each examination. He takes the time to listen attentively to my concerns as a parent, and he is equally attentive when interacting with my children. His ability to establish a trusting and comfortable rapport with both parents and kids creates a positive and nurturing environment.One of the qualities that impresses me the most is Dr. Al Nobani's exceptional ability to communicate with children. He has a warm and friendly demeanor that immediately puts kids at ease. He uses age-appropriate language and explanations, ensuring that my children understand their health and any necessary treatments. This not only helps alleviate their fears but also empowers them to be actively involved in their own healthcare.Dr. Al Nobani's genuine care and compassion for his young patients truly shines through in his interactions. He has a gentle and patient approach that helps children feel safe and comfortable, even during potentially anxiety-inducing situations. He takes the time to answer questions and address any concerns, making sure both children and parents feel supported and informed.The support staff at Thompson Medical Center have also been wonderful. From scheduling appointments to guiding us through the administrative process, they have been friendly, efficient, and accommodating.In summary, I highly recommend Dr. Al Nobani as a pediatrician at Thompson Medical Center. His expertise, excellent communication skills, and genuine care for the well-being of children make him an outstanding healthcare provider. My children feel comfortable and confident under his care, and as a parent, I am grateful to have such a dedicated and compassionate pediatrician looking after their health.

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I phoned from work and asked if they were accepting new patients. The receptionist told me they were but I have to come in person and fill out a form and go on a 6 months wait list. She told me she had a doctor for me. Great. I sent my wife after her work because she gets off work before me. Rushes over there. Gets treated SO RUDELY by receptionists. Not just one. ALL of them.She gets sent to one end of the office to the other to the next floor on and on. All giving dirty looks. All saying they aren’t accepting new patients. All looking at her like she’s some freak for even asking.What a terrible terrible place this must be. To be so rude and unprofessional and give false info in a matter of health care of all places!And now I see that multiple people here are complaining about receptionists! This place must have an atmosphere that breeds and welcomes this type of hateful attitude to people looking for a physician if ALL the receptionists treated my wife this way.Disgusting. Avoid this place at all costs. No professionals here.

Dr.tallives nurse Stephanie is a complete disgrace. She’s rude and unprofessional my mother was trying to explain what was wrong and she continued to Mock her and yell, I’ve had the same family doctor for about 11 years now and have never experienced anything like this, alls I know is I will not be going back

Dr Elogio is always so professional and friendly. He has been my family doctor for about 6 years now. The receptionist are always professional, friendly and helpful. I don’t have any complaints or bad things to say about him or his team.

Sweet Staff. Yes we were late for my 88 year old fathers appointment... BUT they kept us in the waiting room for 80+miniutes before sending him away unseen. Get home and try to reschedule. Must book appointments on-line except the neurologist doctor Dayal is NOT on the appointment scheduling list. NOW they don't answer the phone just direct me to a full voicemail box. $4 for parking 3 hours of my time gone. good service is priceless. Did NOT get that here.

Edit: They seem to have dramatically improved since I posted this message. Receptionists impossible to reach by phone. When you waste time driving there to make an appointment in person, receptionists are chatting with each other and laughing. There are many unemployed people out there that would love to get a job and work hard. What’s happened to a good work ethic!?? Why don’t you hire people who want to work??!? Disgusting.
