The Track on 2

I am a local (but travel everywhere) wedding photographer and I had the pleasure of shooting a wedding here. It was absolutely beautiful and just such a great location for a wedding!

We stopped in for a Friday-night dinner date last night. I was blown away how quickly they have turned things around, with only two days notice, to get their patio set up in a safe, comfortable and provincially-compliant way. The food, as always, was incredible. The staff, as always, welcoming and helpful. And we were comfortable and warm despite April temperatures on the patio. INCREDIBLE WORK you guys. This is THE place for your patio cocktails. Bring a blanket ;)

We took Mom here for Mother's Day brunch, and it was tasty and good value for the price. The atmosphere was warm & friendly and we enjoyed watching the trainers run the horses on the track while we enjoyed our brunch. Great coffee too! The hosts were gracious and explained to us how they streamlined the event billing in order to be efficient as they, like all food services these days, unfortunately struggle with finding staff.I am looking forward to taking in a live raving event this summer!

Fun place, great bar type food.

Great place if you're wanting to play slot machines. Food menu is limited but what is served is good. Didn't like how the dining tables were in the back corner and not against the few windows.

Went for a Medium event held by the Track on 2. We had paid extra for the meal and to say it nicely, it was absolute garbage and raw.We were able to choose our meals, I chose the salad wrap, chicken dish and berries and cream.Out came all of it at once. The star of the show was the raw chicken thigh with a weird paste partially smeared on it, paired with plain white rice, also partially cooked. I wasn’t going to say anything because they were short staffed and I dislike being that person.. but the table beside me also had the same problem, but the server was giving them a hard time so I piped up saying “then explain this plate too”. She said “oh thats bad, i’ll take that too the back” then out came the excuses, which were:1) “They put dye in chicken and beef now, its fine, its just dye”2) “it was temp checked.. it’s fine.”And my personal favourite was..3) “it’s the lighting”(It was their upstairs room with an entire wall of windows in the summer time around 5:30/6..)The picture below of my raw chickenTo make it worse.. it was not just our table, it was multiple tables sending their chicken plates back. Nothing was ever said, no apologies, no refund for at least the food portion, nothing.I’ve heard they had been catering out their smaller events like this, so maybe it wasn’t their food, but for now they claimed it as your own so this review is for them.Maybe the restaurant is better.. who knows. This was just my experience.

Nice big area for shade while watching the horse races. Very easy to lose a lot of money quick if you don't know your statistics. Wish staff were able to give you more information about how to read the $2.00 stats sheets as no one seemed to be able to help me.
