Selkirk Dental Clinic

I had my first appointment at Selkirk Dental today and it was the best dental experience I have ever had. I'm not kidding even a little. I had no idea that you didn't have to be in pain during a cleaning, and that your jaw/gums shouldn't be sore for the next few hours once you left. I also left with a plan to fix an esthetic issue which has bothered me for over 20 years - no previous dentist has taken the time to ask what's important to me and provide feedback. The front desk staff were also incredibly patient and helpful. I'd give these guys a thousand stars if I could.

I went to Selkirk Dental Clinic several times during my 2 years in Revelstoke, and I have seen many dentists over the years as my tourism job enables me to live in many locations across Western Canada. I had excellent dental treatment and great service from everyone at Selkirk Dental in wonderful Revelstoke.

Dr Steve did an amazing job of replacing the old poorly done dental work that had been done on my front teeth years ago, with veneers. His diligence and meticulous care to get it done right resulted in perfectly natural looking teeth. I was always self-conscious of my smile as my teeth aged but I’m now quick to smile a bigger smile. I find everyone there, from the front desk staff to my favourite/ best dental hygienist, Joanne, to Dr Steve, to be kind and caring with a bit of levity thrown in for good measure. Have to admit I’ve always had a bit of fear with the dentist since I never really had the greatest teeth, from first visit to last - the team has been very thorough, explaining every step of the way to keep me calm.Best dentist I’ve been to in a long time, they take their time individually with you.Thank you again Dr Steven and the dental team!

Came in to get a wire on my braces adjusted because it was stabbing my cheek. I called on a short notice and they were able to get me an appointment early the following morning. I checked in and waited for only 5 or so minutes for a dentist. One of the kind ladies there quickly and painlessly moved the wire back into place. They didn't charge me a single cent for their time and service. If I could give it an even better rating, I would.

I’ve been going to this dentist office for over 18 years; always pleased with Dr. Schadinger and his team as well as the previous owner. I’ve had a root canal, a couple crowns done and over 8 fillings with the current team. Luckily mostly insured; if you aren’t insured don’t be discouraged. I always recommend this office when ever people ask. Dr. Schadinger even took extra time during one of his Fridays to do the root canal I mentioned above immediately as an, “endofriday” treatment. This can take around 2 weeks and up to a month to schedule a root canal but it only took 40 minutes. Always funny, friendly and most importantly very assuring work.

I had a genetic deficiency of enamel and things were finally at the point of no return.I needed a full upper extraction to be done at our hospital, this is great for so many reason. After the main appointment I have been in at least once a week to get pieces of bone pulled out, it’s common.Dr Steven and his staff are accommodating. From our first meeting to talk options, second at the hospital where I had a good pre op freak out. They have fit me in in a moments notice. They also seem to have the awareness to notice patient’s mental health during visits.I am book in many more times over the coming months as Dr Steven is also doing the new teeth fitment!!!I will keeps seeing him!!

I cannot say enough good things about Steve and his team at Selkirk Dental Clinic! I had some quite negative experiences at other clinics in the past and so am always pretty nervous about dental work, but every time I go to Selkirk Dental I'm greeted with kindness and patience. Steve and his team always take the time to explain all of the things they're going to do, check in and ask how you're doing throughout the process, and make sure you feel comfortable. I never feel rushed or silly or being nervous. I am so so glad to have found people who are not only amazing at the work they do, but also so compassionate in the way they do it. I wish everyone could have dentists and dental hygienists like these!
