Galaxy Motors Courtenay

I visited Galaxy Motors Courtenay in December 2022 accompanied by my daughter, who had expressed interest in a particular vehicle. Following a test drive and a thorough review of all relevant documentation, including a comprehensive inspection and carfax report, my daughter's offer was accepted, and the transaction was finalized. Unfortunately, upon bringing the vehicle home, she discovered that the windshield washer was not functioning properly, despite the inspection report indicating that everything was in excellent working condition. To rectify this issue, she returned the car to Galaxy Motors, and they promptly repaired it at their expense.Regrettably, approximately a month later, the serpentine belt failed, which was also recorded as being in excellent condition during the inspection. However, on this occasion, Galaxy Motors did not cover the cost of the repair. Subsequently, as warmer weather arrived, my daughter noticed that the air conditioning was not working. Again, she referred to the pre-sale inspection report, which indicated that all components were in excellent working condition. However, upon closer examination, she discovered additional paperwork dated the day after the inspection, revealing that the A/C condenser, high-pressure pipe, and various o-rings required replacement but were marked as deferred."When we presented this information to Galaxy Motors

Update: after a great deal of arguing, Galaxy has completed some of the repairs, at their expense, but they continue to refuse to complete the remainder of the recommended services. They tried to insist I use my extended warranty to cover the cost of repairs that were done, which would be not only unethical, but also potentially fraudulent, given that they were aware of these problems at the time they sold me the extended warranty. Despite only completing a portion of the required services, they had the nerve to ask me to take this review down. I have been left no choice but to escalate this matter by submitting a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, as Galaxy Motors has made it clear they are unwilling to cooperate. Don’t be fooled by their response to this review; we have already discussed this matter at length.Original review: I have had an extremely disappointing experience with Galaxy Motors Courtenay. While the initial sale process was conducted professionally, the subsequent issues I encountered have left me highly dissatisfied and questioning the integrity of this dealership.Immediately upon purchasing the vehicle, I discovered that the windshield washer nozzles were broken and completely nonfunctional. The team at Galaxy Motors in Courtenay created an experience for me that was so much better than I could have imagined. This was my first time making a purchase like this and I was very nervous. Arriving for my appt, before I even entered the building, the staff noticed me outside and welcomed me in by name. Tanner was not only an exceptional salesperson but a kind, relatable, intelligent and respectful individual. I would want to sit down and have a coffee with them outside of this exchange. I was encouraged to try different models, to talk about what was going on in my mind and every single question I asked was greeted with a whole-hearted warmth. My experience in the service industry has made me acutely aware of how people treat each other, and the customer service of any location stands out to me before I even consider buying a product. I had heard rave reviews about the staff at this location but was blown away with how true that really was. Tanner, Jay and Ashley (these three spent the most time with me but all the staff were great) were the reason I felt so supported and cared for during my time. Oh yeah, I guess I should mention that I bought the car and I know that the quality of care does not just disappear now that the transaction has been completed. Thank you truly, for making this experience more than just about the sale of a vehicle.

I had the best experience purchasing my new vehicle from Galaxy in Courtenay! Cole, Jay, Ashley, Cheryl, and everyone else on the team were so helpful, answered all my questions and went out of their way to make the experience smooth and to find me a great vehicle. I recently bought a car from Galaxy Motors and was very pleased and impressed with the process from start to finish. My sales person Tanner found the car I wanted just from my wish list. Then they brought it here to the Comox Valley from Nanaimo just for me to test drive. He was very knowledgeable about cars and all the new buttons and doodads and was good at explaining them to me - no matter how many times I asked! He figured out a couple of mysteries and truly couldn't do enough for me. And Steve in the service department did some touch ups that made my 2016 car look new! I highly recommend Galaxy Motors and it's the first place I'll go when I'm ready for a new car.
