Kemptville Pool and Spa

We had our pool installed by Kemptville Pools in 2012 and have loved it ever since! Great installation, clean work site while the pool was being built, and their after-sale service is second to none. I highly recommend Kemptville Pools!

Same as the previous review: 371 with taxes included for nothing. Emailed James to politely inquire on a refund as they haven’t done anything to warrant close to 400 in expenses for us, no response. Wishing them good luck but all my neighbours know about my situation by now. Don’t use Kemptville!

Easily the best experience I've had with any contractor. Ed and his team are fantastic. They're experienced, professional, honest and easy going.I never had to chase anyone, they always showed up when they said they would, they were always prepared, not a single complaint from me or my family.Ed is very passionate about pools and that translates into making a pool that looks good, lasts, and fits your needs. He was upfront about all costs and extras even those of sub trades like the electrician. All in all, it couldn't have gone any better, we're extremely happy with Ed and his whole team and I couldn't recommend them enough

We had our inground pool installed by them few years back and Ed was a pleasure to deal with..The team is very professional..I just had James over for a service repair and I couldn't be more pleased with their quick turnaround to solve our issue. I highly recommend them if you plan on putting in large investment in your backyard..

They installed our pool 8 years ago and it's been flawless. The design, installation, and service have been excellent. Our pool gets heavily used for 6 months of the year. This year we noticed the pool liner had started sagging on one side. I understand this can happen to any pool, especially with our crazy winter freeze and thaws. I called Kemptville Pool and Spa, explained the situation and they came out and assessed the problem and was comforted to know that it wasn't causing any damage. The team arrived not long after and spent a few hours fixing the issue. It now looks brand new again! The pool was no longer under warranty and there was no charge...they did it for free. They are incredibly professional and courteous. I have been recommending them for the past 8 years and will continue to. If anyone has any questions or doubt at all, I would be more than happy to be a reference. Highly recommended!

Ed, Fred and the crew were a pleasure to work with. Their creativity, professionalism and workmanship are best in class. They helped us create our dream backyard with a beautiful new pool. I would highly recommend Kemptville if you are doing a pool in the Ottawa area.

Ed and James were friendly and quick to respond and show up.But my feeling is that they really didn't want to open my pool. I think they prefer to focus on sales and installation and they didn't want to drive out to Merrickville.Firstly, I thought I was calling a local place because of their name but their business is actually located in Ottawa, not Kemptville (I only found out later) so I suspect I got charged more for the distance.Secondly, I made it crystal clear I knew nothing about pools. James told me I didn't need to shock my water or test it and that all I needed was chlorine and algae stuff. I had the water tested later (because it was crazy cloudy) and it was totally out of whack so I paid $200 in chemicals to fix it myself and learn how to test the water. This is kinda what I thought I was paying Kemptville pools $375 to do FOR me, you know?Anyway, they would have charged me more like $425 but because I helped take the cover off, he knocked it down to $375. He also said he didn't know how to use my pump because it was connected to wifi which means that I am having to figure that out myself, too.So basically, I paid almost $400 for him to help me take off the cover and throw in half a bottle of algae stuff. He showed me how to plug in my creepy crawler.Basically most of the effort I thought I was saving myself by paying these guys (ie. Having to figure out via trial, error, and Google, how to properly open my pool), I had to do myself anyway.Ultimately I'm dealing with a lot of you're a sucker" from my dad because he offered to do it or me but I insisted on using the expert and complete advice of a professional and in the end my dad's the one really helping me anyway.Ah well."

First of all, they said they would be here around a certain time, showed up 90 minutes late. They are not very responsive and don’t share anything about pricing or what’s included in their services before hand. They came in, no apology for being late (two guys, James seems to be the owner), they just removed the plugs or whatever was left to winterize the pool, installed the ladder, and tested the pump: they can be in an out in 15-20 minutes. Price? This year is 371 with taxes. Think about it: almost 400 for this level of service for less than 30 minutes? We used Acqua Tech to close our pool last year and the charge was 212 and change with chemicals included. My advice is to not use Kemptville as they are gauging, their goal is to profit as much as possible from all households without any consideration for your money.

We've had our pool for 7 seasons now installed by Kemptville. Not only was the purchase and install experience great, they have proven to be reliable and good to their word for service as well. I have nothing but good to say for the services provided for the past 7 years. Highly recommended.
