Real Canadian Superstore Oxford Street - Oakridge

I have been a regular customer of this store for almost a decade since moving to London and the Oakridge neighborhood and over the last year or so it’s been consistently not a great experience shopping in store. Constantly out of items and when I asked 2 employees one day if they had any in the back I got the impression they couldn’t even be bothered to check for me customer service has really gone downhill in my opinion. Today I went to pick up cupcakes I ordered for a birthday party that I ordered a few days in advance and when I went to serve them 3 of us bit into them and couldn’t even finish them they were so stale and the rest went in the trash. I thought by ordering them in advance they would be made fresh to order I guess not. Will definitely be shopping elsewhere from now on. Extremely disappointed and embarrassed for serving my guests extremely stale cupcakes

PC express pickup is awesome! Pick your items on the app, pick your pickup time and Bam! Some employee brings out your order! It's fabulous! Tip..buy a plastic tote so that they can put your groceries into a blue tote vs a bunch of cardboard boxes trays". The service is awesome. Week days it adds I believe 1.00 to your order

The store isn't horrible but isn't great. I regularly see moldy fruit in the produce section and have unknowingly purchased expired bacon and cheese in the past (over a month expired) so I've learned to check expiry dates on everything I pick up. But the most annoying thing is the latest renovations. The phone place is now where the carts were so the carts are outside, and they've designated the two front doors as one entrance and one exit, which is fine except you have to cross exiting shoppers if you get a cart, and if you want to go up to the gym or doctor's office, you have to go in the exit (due to bars and plexiglass blocking you otherwise) and it can be hard to get through the annoyed shoppers. Whoever planned this was clueless.

I discovered grocery pick up during the pandemic, and it was amazing. I was able to go right after work and within 5-10 minutes of being there my order would come out. The last couple times I've done it, I have waited over an hour AFTER my time slot to receive my groceries, I wouldn't even get the email it was done until after my time slot started. Then my partner went to pick up the groceries and they tried to hand her someone else's groceries like 4x, the manager even came out and asked for her name again even though she had told the other employees that was not her order and not her name. It really sucks this service is so horrible these days as people who are disabled, or have children that they don't necessarily want to drag around a grocery store kind of depend on it.With the sky rocketing prices you'd think they'd be able to hire more staff.

I am in the store several times a week. Every other time I have been in all the staff have been great... except for the woman who approached me while I was checking out. I got to the store before opening ( they will often open the doors early) I went to the self checkout there was a fellow there before me who had gone to the only open station, which I was grateful that one was open because it was a couple minutes before 7am the official open time. The fellow infront of me had beer so he told one of the staff. They let him know he would have to wait, so he stepped aside too let me use the the station. At this point I hadn't spoke to anyone except to nod hello to the staff members that are starting to recognize me. As I was all at done my purchase some employee before approached me to lecture me about how they often open early and I am welcome to shop but the checkouts aren't open till 7am. She was condescending and belittling. This conversation happened infront of the other customer the one with the beer who actually spoke to an employee about having to purchase the beer. I believe she targeted me because I have unconventional hair colours. If this is the kind of employee you hire I will not shop in this store anymore. Your store is not close to my home I happen to work in the area so it was convenient for me to pick up what I need to make my family dinner and lunches, but I would rather be a little inconvenienced then centred out by an employee who doesn't clearly get all the facts before approaching a customer. There are plenty of other grocery stores in London. Today was definitely a customer service fail

I am so appalled at the work environment here. I was price matching but my cashier had rung my item through already. So she had to adjust it but needed some help. The cashier next to her, very friendly Indian girl, was trying to offer some help bc she had just done a similar transaction. My cashier was named Liz. She was just so sweet a minute before to the customer beforehand and then after this happened, all of sudden turned nasty; blurting out, huffing and puffing, ‘stay in your lane! No I don’t need your input. Mind your own business!!’ Yelling at her coworker who was trying to help.Customers don’t want to see that. I felt so uncomfortable and terrible for the friendly girl. Any human being shouldn’t be treated that way. It was appalling, humiliating and embarrassing. I felt bad for the co worker.Afterwards, I was sent to customer service. Even then, another lady with glasses was very rude. As I was watching her handle several other returns, not once did she smile. Constant bickering with the other co workers and it felt like the customers were bothering her when the customers were just simply making a return with no fuss. Her attitude was rude. They need to take a chill pill. I also work in customer service and am cashier. I understand these transactions and there is no need for this negative attitude. It isn’t rocket science that needs you nee to stress over about. Who wants to work in this kind of environment?! One bad apple spoils the others. For the sake of the friendly cashier, I wanted to leave this review. Please be nice to each other.

Why is there only 1 employee carting groceries out for 10 spots. This service is supposed to be more convenient.. I don't call waiting an hour convenient. That poor guy needs help. I can't use this service anymore. I can't believe how bad it is. My dog would run this more effectively.

Great store. They have an optical inside the store too.

Decent selection with a good location close enough to downtown. Fresh produce most days and a good selection of meat but can be a bit pricey unless there's a good sale on at the time. It fav thing from here is usually the salmon or rainbow trout. The lines can also be a little long at times but that's to be expected. It's also on a bus route with a gas station in the parking lot. The convenience of the wine store inside the building is always a nice place to stop for a dinner drink too.

We're constantly finding mold. A consistent issue at this location.
