Wolf Trail
Absolutly one of the nicer mid distance hike. I would say at this time of year it probably takes 2 hours to thru hike it and closer to 3 if you want to sit and enjoy the views. One side of the trail is fairly straight forward while the other side can be steep and ankle breaking. I do not recommend the trail when its wet out, or be very strategic about how you do the trail. There are a few misleading offshoots of the trail, so keep your eyes on the markings.

Try the loop to the lookout. Challenging but super fun and great views. After finishing the loop go for Blanchet beach. The beach is 2 mins walk from the parking lot. Clean and clear water and definitely refreshing after the hike

One of the best trails in Gatineau Parc. AT 300m un the trail, take a right at the Y.8.4km Loop, 340m of total ascent. Don't miss the lookout

While I'm sure the trail is lovely, when I tried to hike it in March 2023 with my dog I was turned away by a rude attendant at the entrance who indicated dogs are not permitted, despite the website saying the opposite. A sign is also now posted saying no dogs. It is unclear why this change was made, and the lack of consistency between the website and the situation in person means driving to the location just to find out you cannot hike.

Just an amazing hike in the Winter months!! Views are outstanding at the pinnacle. First 45 mins are continuously uphill climb , well laid out trail to the top . Then continue the loop around and down about 10 km and it’s breathtaking scenery . It’s a must do in winter hiking !

This is an annual hike and we always start early but today we started a bit late, 8AM, which means we ran into many more people than we'd like. It's an awesome trail, a little more than 8KM with a healthy incline, so a medium challenge. you won't really break a sweat if you go at a slow pace but you'd get an excellent workout at a robust pace. When you reach the top you're treated to a spectacular view of the valley where you can stop to enjoy a snack as you contemplate the meaning of life. It's a loop, so you don't go down the same way you came up. Throughout the hike you are treated to the smells, sights, and sounds of the forest; it's a wonderful place to unclog your mind from the daily grind and reconnect with nature and friends. Bring bug repellant.

Love this trail! Great views, just challenging enough. Bring water, sunscreen, bugspray and a snack.

Great hike. The loop is 8km and takes a bit more than 2 hrs with the stops . Some steep parts but you will be rewarded with nice views! Nice beach at the end of the trail to cool down in Summer.

Wolf Trail
Wolf Trail is a fairly challenging 12km loop hike. Start from Gatineau Park P13 cost is $13 at Blanchet Beach and loop in either direction to Tawadina Lookout. There are some steep ascents that will get your heart pumping but the magnificent views from the named & unnamed Lookouts along the trail will be what really takes your breath away! The parking lot fills up quickly for the beach & I waited 30 minutes for a spot to open up. Park at Champlain Lookout cost is free & hike trail 1 Ridge Road to the Tawadina Lookout for easier access. Note this will add several kms to your hike but the additional views from the Western Shelter and an unnamed bench Lookout make up for it!

Excellent trail. It's 6.2 km loop and may take 2-3 hours. Nice spots to take a break in-between. There are a few cross paths along this trail but follow sings for 'trail 62' and you will be right back where you started. Don't miss Tawadina lookout. It's marked as Wolf trail on google maps but on trail board says 'Sentier Blanchet'.
