What a wonderful experience we had at Kiyo Sushi. Was looking for sushi last night and found out way here. The restaurant is tucked away in a corner of Cambie Plaza (Pro tip: Double check where you are parking because the plaza has very specific reinforced rules about the duration of your parking time).Once entering the restaurant, my partner and I found the atmosphere to be well worth the experience on top of our food service. The servers were friendly and gracious and we were made to feel welcomed right from the start. They accommodated us without asking to a more spacious, private table when available. The food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend the Kiyo Bento ($20+tax) that offers a wonderful selection including a small chirashi bowl, soba noodles, and select tempura. Also really enjoyed the (half) order of the house special roll ($9.50+tax), which was ginormous! Overall, the food was great, but the service even better. Everything from start to finish - service, food, atmosphere - made for a wonderful date night. Highly recommend this Japanese gem in Richmond!

If you’re looking for an authentic and quality Japanese cuisine, then this is the place. The staff are hardworking and friendly. Very ambient and appropriate dining experience. I loved it through and through. I will definitely be back!

Great little Japanese restaurant inside a Richmond shopping square; very unassuming outside but has authentic Japanese sushi chefs and owners inside. Very high quality sashimi especially in their sashimi bento box. The fish on the sushi bento looks slightly less fresh but it’s still good and slightly better value than the sashimi bento. Overall I love their delicious and complimentary authentic green tea. Really nice owners! Service is sometimes a bit slower but they run pretty lean in terms of staff and it’s worth the wait!

Staff were polite and amazing. Shared stories about Japan with us while they served us. Food is so good, the Lobster Motoyaki is worth trying and the Gindara Saikyozuke was so deliciously seasoned. It's a hidden gem in this plaza and I would recommend some items off their specials and fresh sheet.

My last visit here was more than four years ago. It's still popular and foods were good with a very reasonable price. A great neighborhood place for Japanese foods and never disappoints. Good choices in the menu some seasonal dishes too. Parking is free and normally available.

One of the most authentic locations in Richmond for Japanese food that I return to time and time again. I highly recommend the sashimi here in addition to the softshell crab, salmon kama, garlic clam, and the ebi mayo roll but you can't go wrong with any of their dishes! The staff here are extremely kind, knowledgable about the menu, and quick to serve.My personal favourite is the tempura udon as it has a very delectable charred flavour that I have yet to taste at other restaurants! The noodle is never overcooked and tempura crispy as always.

We went here for dinner. The service was excellent and food was delicious. We came here mostly for the sashimi and they were fresh. Definitely recommend to book in advance.The restaurant was busy around dinner time and there’s no dividers between tables especially the sushi bar. The lady who sat beside me kept coughing and sneezing so I felt uncomfortable sitting so close to her at the sushi bar. I wish there was so kind of divider between the guests. Nonetheless, I would definitely go back again for the food and service.

The best Japanese restaurant to me and my family and friends in Richmond! Foods always fresh with seasonal special and services are excellent.. friends found it’s an amazing place like family restaurant to all of us... we visited here at least twice a month and when there’s any special occasion or friends from USA or around the world, we will bring them here to enjoy the fresh sashimi and friendly atmosphere（photos of last month and last weekend)
