Sportsman's Lodge Wilderness Resort

After a 2 hour snow machine trip we blew the clutch on one of our machines. Thankfully we were right beside the Sportsman Lodge. The kindness shown to us by everyone there was so heart warming. While my daughter and I enjoyed the warmth of their fire an a hot chocolate, Jim was outside with my husband fixing our machine. This northern Ontario hospitality makes me proud to be a Northerner. Thanks again to Jim and staff for saving our day!!!

Just returned today from 5 days sledding with my son as part of a group of 15. Jim is a fantastic host, very personable and helpful about the area trails, must see places etc. Kim is also a really great host but an even better cook. Every 3 course meal was amazing. If you're expecting a 5 star resort it's not the place for you but if you want to feel welcomed and appreciated by the owner and staff in a beautiful rustic atmosphere you need to give them a call. Thanks for the hospitality

I recently chose Sportsmans Lodge to host a Group ride event on the long weekend for 21 snowmobilers. Jim and Kim and the entire staff amazing to work with, friendly and fun! The entire experience was beyond our expectations. The resort is a rustic paradise, clean and cozy. The main lodge had a perfect lounge area for relaxing and festivities after riding amazing trails of Sudbury. Breakfast and Dinner was served on time and the portions were delicious and excellent (we were stuffed). Everyone in our group agreed the Sportsmans Lodge made it an epic and unforgettable experience - we will definitely be back! Thank-you Jim and Team ❤️

This place is world class. A friend and i rolled into here by snowmobile around 7pm feb 28 on a whim to get fuel and find lodging. They took us in with open arms and even though they started dinner service they fed us with a 5 star meal. Jim and company has true northern hospitality. Will definitely be staying here from now on. So glad we found this lovely place. Thanks jim and co.

My buddy and I used Sportsman's Lodge as a starting point for our canoe trip. They charge $10 per day for parking and a $10 launch fee both which are very reasonable. The owners were there and very friendly and helpful. At the end of our trip my van had a completely flat tire. Jim was so nice and offered to fix my tire and did so within 20 minutes - thanks again Jim! We will be back again and look forward staying at the Lodge next time.

If you're looking for the perfect snowmobile getaway, this is the place. Rustic but very clean and cozy. Delicious meals and even better service. Jim, Kim and the crew go above and beyond. This isn't a Hilton- it's a beautiful cabin style stay. Miles and miles of trails means miles of smiles.

I had a one of a kind experience as this was my first overnight snowmobile trip. Great snow conditions, food was amazing, and most of all, the accommodation were exactly what you would expect for a snowmobile trip. Rooms are not huge, but they are exactly what you need. Jim, Kim, and the rest of the staff made you feel like home. Highly recommend if you snowmobile or ATV, and love the outdoors.

We are currently on our way home from the lodge. I’m sitting in the back seat reflecting on how amazing this past weekend has been to us! Not only because it was our annual trip with my fiancé and both our parents, but the quaint and peaceful stay we had at the Sportsman Lodge made it even better.Kim & Jim went above and beyond to provide us with the best weekend. Their friendly faces, eagerness to help and make their guests feel important was next to none. The meals were absolutely incredible! Best idea we had was to take the stress free route of enjoying the meal plan. My mother in law is sensitive to gluten and Kim went above and beyond to ensure she enjoyed the meals. The lodge was perfect! We stayed in the hawk cabin with 3 bedrooms and common area. It was PERFECT for us to hangout after our long days on the quads to enjoy a few drinks, laugh and catch up.We have stopped by on the sleds to fuel up and are excited to continue to do so as well as include this spot as one to return to on the bikes. The trails were great to get through on side by sides and aside from the bugs (which are inevitable) we couldn’t have asked for better rides.Thank you so much Jimberly for making our first weekend as an engaged couple one to remember and a stress free way to celebrate with our 4 favourite people. Food was amazing! Had a breakdown with the snowmobile Jim was really good and helped us out. Location was great for the snowmobile trails. Will definitely be back here again.
