Today was my first time visiting the salon. Bryan was fine. The place is fine. On second visit, things didn't work out. The feedback provided to Bryan didn't go well and I was dismissed because we can't work well together". Oh well

Amazing! It doesn’t look like much but it’s definitely worth it. I had Bryan for a cut, highlight, tone and style. I thought okay I’ll just go in and text until it’s done but he’s the warmest nicest person I’ve ever met. My hair was perfect and I just couldn’t believe how warm and nice the staff were. They also do nails which I didn’t know so I’ll probably come back to get more done. Love!

Bryan is an incredible artist! A great listener who gives the best suggestions on what direction my styles can go towards, and a truly talented soul! Both Bryan and Lorna have such positive attitudes, you can never leave the salon without an incredible style on your head and a smile on your face!

I had such a great colour and cut experience on Saturday morning. I was wanting a change to my current hairstyle and they definitely delivered. Brian is an excellent stylist who is highly committed to his craft and provides an excellent experience for his customers. He went above and beyond ensuring the colour that I wanted was achieved. Lorna who owns the salon is delightful and made me feel so welcome. The colouring took longer than anticipated which wasn't an issue for me as I spent most of my time laughing and feeling very well taken care of. Would highly recommend their services to anyone that is wanting an excellent treatment that leaves them feeling great. Thank you so much!

I’ve been going to Lorna off and on for over 10 years. Off and on because I’ve twice moved away from the Lower Mainland and during those ‘off’ times I have never found a hairstylist and superb hair cutter that comes close to Lorna’s level of professionalism and talent. I leave her salon feeling very happy with my hair cut and I remain happy until my next visit. She is the only hairdresser whose cuts are so good that I always get compliments from strangers and often weeks after my hair was done. I can also say that Amy does excellent cuts as well as she once did my hair when Lorna had a broken wrist. This salon prides itself on customer service and excellent results.

Brian is a slob. If you're Asian he treats you like dirt. He picks his nose while doing the hair of an elder woman with Asian look. He sneezes without covering his nose and doesn't wash his hands. I witnessed this when I was having a perm and saw the woman's worried face. This was when the owner of the shop went for her cataract surgery and Brian was running the till. He was holding the money and doesn't even wash his hands. People who are Latinos. Filipinos or Chinese should not go to this shop let alone ask Brian to do their hair.

My last hair styling was almost two years ago. My visit to Essence today was my first time at this location, I dropped in, and the staff was extremely friendly.Amy was assigned to style my hair. She quickly understood what I wanted and delivered it perfectly. Amy was quick, efficient and my hair looks perfect. I was not surprised when Amy told me how passionate she was to help people feel good about themselves.I will be going back to see Amy. I recommend you do that as well.
