By far the best moving experience we have ever had. We hired them to pack a large POD container to move from Canada to the USA. They did such an excellent job that the money we paid them was actually saved in not having to get another POD. They fit so much into the POD that we never would have been able to do on our own, and we feel secure that it is packed tightly so that it will arrive safely.

This company was supposed to show up to move us and just didn’t!He was booked 2 months in advance, contacted 3 weeks prior to the move and was still booked.Absolutely disgusting unprofessional and just plain MEAN to do to 2 seniors in their 80’s.

I have moved 42 times throughout six countries. My experience with JPD Moving is without question the best experience I have ever had to date. Jeff, the owner, showed up on time to do the quote, went through the process in detail and confirmed with paperwork by end of day. He was always in constant communication from beginning to end with any questions and concerns. They follow proper covid protocol.His packers - Jessica and Nicole - were on time, efficient, and careful. We have a lot of delicate cocktail glassware and they were very careful to pack properly. The movers - Robbie, Kyle and Justin - showed up the next day to move a lot of equipment (refrigerators, dishwashers, freezers etc). There were on time, super friendly, hard working, and went above and beyond to try to help us get our restaurant moved out. I failed to hire plumbers to disconnect the dishwashers and ice machine and they did what they could to help us complete the task. They had fun while working without wasting time. That’s the best.This company is second to none in Halifax - and I’ve used many for both real estate and restaurant moves. We had a great experience with this moving company. They were punctual, efficient, and very courteous. The owner was on site during the whole process, to make sure everything went smoothly.

We used Jeff and his team at JPD Movers as they were highly recommended. They did not disappoint! They managed our very large move with 2 trucks over 2 days. His team was fantastic, very professional, personable and excellent at what they do. They made us feel very at ease and went above and beyond. This was the best move we have experienced and we have moved many times. Many thanks to Jeff, Graham, Robbie, Kyle and Dan! They will be our only movers from now on.

JPD helped me with a big move from Lunenburg County to Guysborough County, and it was the best moving experience I've ever had. I can wholeheartedly recommend them for their excellent customer service, great staff and very reasonable price.Jeff was always prompt in answering my email questions and he kept the lines of communication open right through to the end, even following up with a post-move phone call to make sure I was happy. The moving team, Robbie and Kyle, arrived on schedule, worked really hard, and did an amazingly efficient job loading and unloading the truck. As a bonus the whole team are really nice guys with a great attitude to their jobs.Having had a not-great experience during my previous move I was nervous about hiring a mover this time. All the great online reviews of JPD persuaded me to try them, and I am very glad I did. So I am adding my glowing review to the collection.

JPD Movers were there for us when my family and I were in need! The movers we had hired bailed on us last minute, and the movers we found through a friend were incredibly unprofessional, incapable of the simplest tasks and were not very experienced. I immediately put a stop to them and called 15 different moving companies in the province, hoping that someone would have an emergency opening that day. Most never even answered the phone or responded to messages I had left. JPD Movers were last on my list. When Shelly picked up, she was incredibly friendly, professional and had a very positive and compassionate attitude. She let me know that they had a last minute cancellation so she had sent the movers home. However, she managed to wrangle 3 men and a truck in just over an hour and sent them to my family's house within 2 hours! Once the professional movers arrived, they immediately got to work carefully moving every piece of furniture and managing to maneuver the very steep stairs. They were quick, efficient and careful. What they managed in 1 hour, the three men we had hired previously couldn't manage in 3. This was our lesson to always hire professionals! I am so grateful that JPD Movers were eager and happy to help my family and I move our home. Thank you so much for coming through for us! You saved the day!!

I cant say enough good things about these guys! They moved us yesterday and I was super stressed out but once they arrived that all went away. The men were so nice and made it look like a piece of cake!!! Which was exactly what I needed. Everything was moved with care and efficiency. We had some great conversation also! HIGHLY recommend JPD Movers to anyone who wants a carefree/stress free move!

JPD Movers were so professional and kind with me, they made all my moving and storage needs so simple! I needed to be moved with little notice, and they showed up with a great crew who had good energy and were very quick getting the job done.
