We have been using J. Connolly as our go to rental spot for two years now for our bobcat, disposal and Mini X needs. They are knowledgeable, transparent, fair and completely bilingual. Martinez Renovations is happy to continue to support this locally owned family business.

Probably the best place to rent compact equipment for excavation. The selection is great the prices are good but the customer service has always been great. When I need to rent a smaller excavator I’ll usually go out of my way to rent from this company.

I brought my chainsaw in for repairs. The repair required parts to be delivered. I was provided with an amount for the job which I prepaid. Repair was done quickly. But when I was told the saw was ready for pickup I was also told I owed another $20 for delivery surcharges. I paid it and spoke to the owner about it. He was indifferent to my perspective as a customer that the price changed despite being assured it was fixed. It wasn’t his fault. What can he be expected to do? Lousy business practice. All he had to do was refund the $20 and I would be happy. I’m trying to support a local company. Won’t be returning. Which is too bad because I’m looking for a second chainsaw.

Courtesy called their office at about 6.30am to let them know one of their flat beds trailers was covered with mud and debris and spraying vehicles as it traveled westbound on the Queensway. Lady on the line (name unknown) argued and justified when I simply suggested maybe she just have the driver sweep after loading. Did not take long with her on the phone to realize that *OPP might have been a better option.

Picked up a stump grinder from here today. Staff was super friendly and helpful and in good spirits. I was impressed by the knowledge and kindness from everyone. The unit I got was in good condition and worked flawlessly.Will be renting from here again, for sure.

A review worth reading! : I cannot say enough good things about this rental company! We rented a couple of machines from them earlier in the summer- Mike and Matt and Junior are all so pleasant to deal with. Very friendly, professional and explain everything to you. They are punctual and very knowledgeable. This morning I was calling everywhere in Ottawa and even in Gatineau to try to find a specific machine, No one had them available- but this company was able to source one out for us for the next day! These guys are really incredible and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anybody. We have rented from them in the past, we are renting from them today, And they will be our go to place for all of our rental needs in the future. Very satisfied customer ! Thanks guys.

We rented 2 machines, a mini excavator with a thumb bucket & a 2'x2' push compactor. Gentleman I was speaking to on the phone and I reserved with quoted me a price for each machine and then charged an extra $20 per machine per day. When I called to ask why we were charged more the explanation was well it was a bigger machine, if they chose to give us a bigger machine then what was asked for or quoted that is on them we should not have to pay the difference. If you quote the wrong price you it's not on the customer it's on you to eat the price, this is just bad business. We are a company that runs a car repair shop if I call a customer and give them a price to fix their vehicle I don't turn around and charge them more if I have made the mistake on my pricing.Stay away because they don't own up to their mistakes and make things right, it's just oh I am sorry I gave you the wrong price. It isn't our fault if you priced wrong. We will never do business again with this company.

Rented a stump grinder off J Connelly Rental. Could not have had a better experience. Everything went without a hitch and we found a new place to get some nice gear.
