I've taken ~15 items to Ahmed for alterations, without any issues. If you need a suit tailored, or a pair of jeans tapered, this is the place to go. Ahmed is friendly, and arguably undercharges for his work. I would expect to pay 2-3x for this in any major city.

It's great store and i had a great experience at AHMED DESIGNS the staff did an excellent job in fixing my dress and I feel satisfaction and comfortable so it's always worth investing in the services of a good tailor. It's fantastic that i were able to find a store that provided such high-quality work and left me feeling satisfied with the results.✨✨

Great place. Nice guy. Went in multiple times, he can repair anything clothing related. I've had him patch wool sweaters, fix zippers, repair jeans, repair suede jacket. All great price.

Can't beat the level of service and expertise that Ahmed brings to his customers. He also has a selection of clothing at the shop and can do alterations very quickly - and does minor alterations/fixes before I leave the shop.

He finished his work, he is wonderful, but more than wonderful. He made a suit for me and adjusted it to my size. Thank you very much. He was very nice. I was surprised by the negative comments. He is the best tailor ever.

Only issue is the guy who knows English is almost away and the guy in the shop doesn't understand English. Otherwise they are very reasonably priced and are highly skilled.

Wonderful work at very reasonable prices! I had 3 pair of dress pants hemmed and adjusted at the waist and the work was perfect and the cost was excellent. I would highly recommend Ahmed for all your tailoring needs. Convenient location on York Street and always greets with a smile and great attitude!!

Altered my bridesmaids dress last minute after another shop couldn't do the work. Got it done in just a few days, very reasonably priced and the dress fit like a dream! Thank you!

I chose to get my alterations done here because I wanted to support a budding local entrepreneur. I gave him two suits to have alterations done and he told me they would be ready in 2 weeks. After 3 weeks I called him (on a Monday) and he informed me the alterations would be completed by Friday. Today (Thursday) I called him and for the 10th time he didn't answer his phone and I had to call the other number. I was informed that the alterations were still not completed despite being told they would be. I was told they should be completed in a week. I told them I had a wedding to attend in a week and was told they would be completed in time. I have no idea if they will be completed in time so I guess we will see. 4 weeks to complete simple alterations is completely unreasonable. I understand this man has a young family but the bottom line is you have a business and you should answer the phone when people call. I wish him best of luck in his businesses.

I took my daughter's prom dress to be taken in slightly. Not a difficult alteration, just on the sides of the bodice. He kept the dress for two months, got it back two days before prom and it was about three sizes too small!! The zipper was approximately two inches apart in the back. We were shocked and upset as we had purchased the dress months in advance in the southern US. He was Mr invisible for months. Wouldn't answer the door of his shop or answer my phone calls. We bought a sundress the day before prom and made due. The next year, feeling terrible this gorgeous dress was going to waste, I took it to the lady on King St near Regent Street, next to the optical place. She performed a miracle and somehow remade the top to fit my daughter and she wore it to prom that year!He is not ethical, rude and a poor tailor. Beware!!
