Fun to do once. Beyond touristy. Difficult to actually appreciate the boat races because of all the other stuff going on.

The regatta is a must visit if you are in the St John's area the first Wednesday of August. It is the oldest organized sporting event in North America.

Friendly staff. Very accommodating. Fun place. Almost always windy but can't do anything about that.
