Terra Nova Natural Area

It's so good to walk and play at playground.

Such beautiful park with nature theme! Really love cool playground and community garden! Nice area to hike and see some wildlife or walk over to the seaside to stroll.

Beautiful and quiet trail that skirts the Natural Area. Please be aware that multiple coyotes do live in the area.

Lots of birds, ducks, squirrels around (traces of beaver too), cool views of the airport (my son loves planes), a kid play area. Great views out to the ocean. A pretty great park! Great for a walk with friends and/or family.

Family friendly nature area, great for walks or bike rides.

With various of flower as well plant, one of the best places to enjoy sunset on earth.

A great, undisturbed area for casual walks, especially for parents, as young children can enjoy the Terra Nova Adventure Playground.If lucky, some birds, including Blue Heron, may be spotted.

Located in close proximity to fussing City and so calmly and beautiful wilderness, Real wonderland.

This is for the Terra Nova Natural Area, as most of the reviews and many of the photos are a combination of Terra Nova Adventure Play Environment and the West Dyke Trail.There are a number of access points to the Natural Area: off the West Dyke Trail near the Quilchena Golf Club, the parking area off Westminster Highway across from the Rural Park Farm Center, and from Parkes Drive and Semlin Drive. We parked at the west end of Blundell Road and entered by the bridge off the dyke trail.Interestingly, there is very little information online about the area, even on the Richmond website. Many old/historical photographs exist of Richmond BC but nothing about this area.In the past I have walked the south to north trail marked on Google maps. When I saw people walking on the west edge of the area I decided to check it out. There is indeed a trail that continues from the parking area.The circular walk is very nice and gives a great view of previous farmland and the birds that now inhabit it. A short trail which connects to a number of other areas to explore.Daniel
