Went in with glow plug issues on an Espar Bunk Heater. Michelle in Parts and Shawn in the shop were super helpful finding me options and then actually testing my existing parts. These guys went above and beyond to help me out. Highly recommend!

My wife was traveling from Didsbury, AB thru Golden when the front left wheel started wobbling. The previous day i had all 4 tires replaced in Didsbury. Deb called me and we called all 8 garages in Golden, everyone was booked, no time to take an urgent call, until I called Columbia Diesel. The Service tech said we are booked but if you are stuck bring it in, she did. He had one look at it and 2 studs were already broke off the front wheel and the rest loose as well as some partially loose on some other wheels. They promptly put it on the hoist, pulled and replaced the broken studs and she was on here way. Many thanks to Jordan, Jo-anne and there team for going the extra mile to help person out of a tight spot. Stuart

Such awesome service from Columbia Diesel. We were stranded in our RV and unable to move for two weeks while parts were shipped. They came out to the RV park and worked on site for us so we still got to have a holiday. Thank you guys so much for all your help.

They're charged hourly. The mechanic really does an excellent job, and no time wasted.

My wife and I broke down and needed to be brought into a shop . It’s prime holiday season so everyone is busy . But they were able to sneak us in and fixed us up asap within an hour after opening . They honestly made what was a horrible part of a trip into a slight hiccup . My wife and I can not appreciate and thank the staff enough for getting us back on the road . Wish there was more than 5 stars I could give .

Well, I guess I’m one of the unlucky ones to breakdown near Golden & be repaired by this company. I was charged over $1000.00 (that’s right over one thousand dollars) to have a mechanic (& his girlfriend!) drive out and replace a 6 inch piece of coolant hose that took all of 15 minutes to replace. And it was I that did some of the work to boot. Invoice states that ‘they’ replenished 3 jugs of coolant & ran the motor….he didn’t even touch the coolant nor the ignition switch.$544 of labour & 300$ to drive to & from!!!I was only 65kms away, NOT a thousand.I find it ridiculously & rudely excessive for such a small repair.I will NEVER recommend this company to any of the other OTR drivers.Even 1 star is too much.

**NO LONGER Columbia Diesel ***now RJ WESTERN STARFront desk you would expect more professional customers service, nope. They have a waiting room which has a tv but no access to free wifi. No free coffee like some RJ western star. The mechanic were actually way better with customer service than the front desk people. And they explain in detail what is happening and how long you will wait.
